Worst App Ever

I have a EOS 6D and had been using the old Camera Remote APP for ever with no issues. Last month Canon pulled the plug on the Remote App and had me download this Camera Connect...well I’ve had so many issues and can not get my computer to now pair or connect with this dumb APP. Just super frustrating!!! Way to go with disappointing someone who had been perfectly happy and had no issues with you past wifi connection remote app. Now what do I do? Looks like I bought a dude of a system if it wont scan or pair up to your wonderful APP (I’m being sarcastic!). Giving this a negative stars. Not a happy customer.

Useless app for iPhone

This app worked once or twice in early 2019 on my iPhone 7. Since then, Camera Connect cannot...connect! This app needs help — STAT!!!!!

Holy hell, for a company with 200,000 employees and an operating income of ¥228,000,000,000 you would think they could do better than this. I’m severely disappointed that the EOS R isn’t equipped with a gps module and we have to put up with this garbage excuse for an application

This app will have you frustrated beyond your imagination. Canon can you develop an app that supports cameras?? This one sure doesn’t. I’ve given you enough money to fund a new app. Get it together!

To be honest, this app promises much, but delivers little. It has a crappy interface and trying to connect to your camera is kludgy at best. *More Importantly: Watch out and read carefully. They require you to give your information to Google. WHY? What business is it of Google? Who in their right mind would choose to use an app that spies on you? Big, major FAIL Canon!! Because of this, I am tempted to jump ship to a competitor that offers a better line of mirrorless cameras. As much as I like Canon cameras, if this bad app quality, and the fact that they feel it’s appropriate to share my data to a soulless company like Google is where they see their future, I’m out!

I love the app for viewing and downloading pictures to my phone. That’s about it. When I try to use the remote shutter function it gets instantly blown out, every picture. I can’t figure out what’s happening when the shots from the camera look perfect. I will have to connect a remote shutter switch to use but it would have been great to be able to use the phone for that.
