Doesn’t work anymore

Ever since they updated it, I haven’t been able to connect. It used to be so simple.


Updated verson doesn’t work for older cameras

So I have an older version and about a year ago I had no problems connecting to my phone but now it won’t connect at all.

Still quite awful. Canon should produce a separate Bluetooth shutter remote app. That app could also handle GPS provision. This app should remain as a remote control product few would use and the Bluetooth GPS should be removed. It’s insanely complex. I’m able to make this work both in network mode and and as in WiFi server mode but it’s ugly. If I need to switch WiFi modes I kill app and restart. It works when you magic everything so 2 stars for that I REALLY miss canon’s old IR remote.


Good when it works

This app is fantastic when it works. However, it doesn’t work more often than it does work. It is near impossible to get the phone to connect to the app. I have looked every where for help with this and there is only step by step walk throughs to make it work. Nothing to address what to do when it doesn’t work. When it works it’s fantastic. It’s so unfortunate it has so many connection issues.

This app would boost canon sales within the architectural photography community if you would advance the native app! Add a histogram and grid lines in live view please!


Some BS right here

Nothing about this app is designed with the user in mind. It’s almost impossible to understand the “easy” setup and the app crashes nonstop. All I got after 30 minutes was 8 pictures - that I had to INDIVIDUALLY download. Seriously letting us down, Canon ??

Since the updates my images never show up

I’ve had the app for about 2 yrs now and at first my images would show up but it was really slow connecting and showing up. Now for about the past year I wait and wait and the images never show up on my phone. I’ve even updated the app every time there was a new update to see if that fixed it but it didn’t. Your always doing updates for new cameras and phones but not the older original devices.


Problem with Bluetooth
