Janky and hard to use

This app is a fantastic idea to get people out and donating and I really love that you can see all of you stats and your donor card. However, scheduling appointments via the app never works and is an extreme hassle. Why even have a feature in your app if it doesn’t work? The app in general has some clunky aspects and is in bad need of an update.

TLDR; App support could be better .. only sends you to main Red Cross website. It’d be helpful to have an app FAQ page. Details: For those with login issues (example: works on WiFi, but not on cell network), check this on your iDevice: - Launch Settings app - Find & touch Blood Donor app - Make sure “Cellular data” is on If Cellular data is off, you will get the 4G/LTE message: “Internet connection appears to be offline.” I noticed this setting after reading tech articles on how to make your iPhone more secure by disabling services you don’t truly need.

The Red Cross developers are incredibly incompetent at building their web site and mobile apps. Horrible workflow. Poor user interface. The ratings are inflated, I’m sure, because so many think it’s wrong to criticize a “non profit that does so much good”. Forget that. We donors and the front line staff deserve better than the cr@p that the developers put out. Likely an insider who got the contract, because there is no excuse for an app this bad.
App issues.
App login issues
Since the last update my app now shows two lines for username and two lines for password but access to only one or each. Not that big of an issue. I tried numerous times to login and it says it’s wrong. So I clicked the forgot info and put my email in, twice. I never got an email and not in my junk folder either. I get the emails from RC but can’t access my app acct. I clicked the “app support” and it takes you to the website with no help available there.

Easy to make appointment, do rapid pass prior to arrival and then you follow your blood’s journey through the app. Pretty cool.
No Rapid Pass Completion Available?? June 17

I went on the ARC website but can find no way to report a tech problem there, so I’m coming in here to describe this: I have used the blood donor app and Rapid Pass numerous times. This morning when I went to complete it, I was sent up to the ARC website (online) to do the form completion. I got as far as reading the materials and assuring them that I’m feeling well, then added my name, birthdate, and zip code of the blood drive. From there it gave me a button to “Start Questionnaire.” After clicking this button, I was taken to the general ARC website entitled, “The Blood Donation Process.” This has just very basic info for people who don’t understand donation, and has no way to click through to get to the questionnaire. I think there is a broken link on your website, or some glitch. Very frustrating to go through the preliminary steps and be unable to complete the process.
