Waste of money

I’ve had Birchbox for 3 months and the first 2 months all of my samples were discontinued items so even if I did want to purchase them I couldn’t. I feel as though they’re just cleaning out their warehouse. And my third and final month with Birchbox I am going to receive 2 texture hair sprays.....I have a shaved head. I wouldn’t even be mad if they sent the one texture spray but who wants 2 of the same product in 1 box??

I wish I never subscribed to Birchbox, I really love getting full size products and you don’t get that with Birchbox. Plus if you want to buy a product I have to pay full price. I have Ipsy and BoxyCharm and with them I get full size products plus if I want to buy a product I get amazing savings, but Birchbox doesn’t offer that.

The count down timer to when you can make your choice on the box is not so accurate. When I click on the items in my box it always says they are sold out even though looking them up in a different spot they are not. The app has not crashed yet. And is a good way to look at the articles and box « spoilers » when they are released. So could be improved but worth getting if you get Birchbox.

Would you like to be completely ignored as a customer by a company that has no interest in you or your loyalty? I didn’t even want to give one star. It took over a month to receive. The first one got lost and they made me wait 2 weeks before they would send out another. I got dry shampoo which I said I didn’t want and yet another mascara. I had just signed up and I canceled already. Ipsy is much better.

Honestly I don’t understand how outdated information always end up on my front page. For example I opened the app this morning to see if my box has shipped and it literally says check out the September 2018 sample choice reveal. It’s December 2020?! I’m glad I’m canceling after this month.

I love getting my box each month. I figure before I signed up, I would spend at least $15 a month blindly trying new products for beauty/skin care just to try products out. Then I’d either give them away or throw them away when I didn’t like what I bought. By getting these boxes, I can sample many products and see if they work for me. The concept is awesome. I do get several of these types of subscriptions and they’re all different. I don’t find one better than the other because they are all different. I do wish this one offered larger products but won’t cancel because of it. It suits me fine for now.

I think IPSY is a better beauty subscription service. I have tried both for a couple months now and the items I received from IPSY reflected my beauty preferences. The items from Birchbox were nice, but not the kind of products I’m interested in.

I have been a loyal Birchbox subscriber for 3+ years. I understand that this year has been a tough one for everyone, but the service this year with my subscription has been well below par. I have had several times where I have had to reach out to customer service regarding my box...I haven’t received it yet...one month I got my box twice!(not really a complaint...but...just saying) & my box has come late. This month, I wasn’t sure I was actually getting what I chose, a curated box...I also wasn’t sure I was going to receive both my add ons because this app has not worked to, let’s face it, well over the past 18 months...I did receive my box today, I did receive both the correct add ons, but I don’t think my box is what I selected...I’ve really been considering going back to IPSY. I have a close friend who has been using IPSY for months & she loves it. I think I will use my Ace loyalty points & will cancel my monthly subscription...maybe try IPSY or just go without

I have been using the Birchbox app snd subscribing to the monthly box for almost a year and i love it! Not only are the products great, high quality and definitely a great deal but their customer service is so helpful and I really love the brand. I find myself spending less money overall on skincare and makeup Bc of the great value and quality product I get each month in my Birchbox.
