Enjoying Birchbox

I am a single mom of 2 so I don’t get to buy myself expensive make up or skincare too often. This box allows me to try a variety of different products without having to waste money on something and not like it and waste time and money. I am VERY into skincare, I always have been but now that I am 32 I really like to try different products. Birchbox send a lot of different skincare products which I love! I have even bought 2 products that I got as samples! The ipkn tinted moisturizer (I think that’s the name) and I also just bought Dr. botanicals pomegranate superfood regenerating sleep mask. I got this mask in my last box and after one use I fell in love! I have rosacea on my cheeks and after using this once and washing my face the next morning my face looked so nice. So refreshed and the redness on my cheeks had really improved. I used it the next night and even better. Well, my son has autism and loves lotions and creams and he got into my bathroom and squeezed about half the bottle out. I just added on to my next box and it was only $10. Plus when you add a product onto your box it’s free shipping. I used to get Ipsy which I absolutely love but if you wanted to buy something you did not get this option. I was going to rate 4 stars because I think I like Ipsy better (I haven’t been getting Ipsy for a while, I’m about to sign up for it again) I like that you get a makeup bag every month. Honestly it is very close for me between the two. I subscribed for a year of Birchbox and it will end in August, I will most likely resubscribe. I was getting boxy charm as a gift, I got about 6 boxes, I liked it but I personally wouldn’t pay $25 a month plus I felt like I got a lot of full size products I’ll never use. I’d rather get the samples for $12 a month and do 2 subscriptions.

Don’t Waste Your Money- Go With Ipsy

Both Ipsy and BoxyCharm send much better products in their bags/boxes. I am disappointed with Birchbox and feel like they include 5 items that should be <$1.00 each. Definitely not the same quality products as their competitors.

This last box has done it for me. Not only did I not get to pick anything but the items they picked have no relation to my profile. I don’t need a self tanner. I do not need shampoo and conditioner for blonde hair as I’m not blonde and the eyebrow color they sent is dark. I am light skinned and my brows are light brown. Not dark brown. 2 more months because you can’t cancel. That’s fine. I’ll be sure to spread the word about your lack of customer service.

So far disappointing

I have one year subscription as a gift for my self and so far disappointed with the 4 boxes I’ve received. Don’t like any of the samples and they’re cheap. Most of them I don’t even bother using. I’m regretting the year long subscription. I miss my old Ipsy subscription. I like Ipsy samples much more and a lot of times I got full samples and a single item that’s worth $20! So far I’ve only gotten cheap products no high end. Disappointing

I really like getting samples before I spend a lot of money on a product then find I don’t like it. The only thing that is a problem for me is I don’t think the box profile is not right for me. An example would be that I’m getting bright green nail polish in my next box and on my profile I put reds and neutral colors. I’m 58 and green is just not my thing, but my granddaughter will love it.

I have been a birchboxer for over 3 years and I love most of the samples. Lately though my picks are all sold out when I try to purchase. Wish we could get some new things too!!
