The app is completely worthless. You can’t pick up your car or checkout via the app. Still have to stand in long lines to pickup your car.

When I rented a car at Avis a few weeks ago, the line was long. When I got to the counter, Sofia, who was the customer agent, told me how to become a perrfered customer by just downloading the app. So I did it and it worked out fine! I will always do business with Avis when I travel. Also, Sofia is stationed at Sarasota Airport in Glorida.

App shows I used gas before pickup

Before I pick up cars, the app always shows that the”current fuel” is less than “fuel at pick up.” Which means that I somehow used some gas even before I have the car. This results in me being charged for fuel service every time. I typically rent for day trips and the fuel charged by mistake usually cost about 20% of the rental cost. This has happened on all my recent trips.

At Jackson Mississippi, it was the only rental company with a line. Only one person working the stand and no one at the preferred stand. The app said no vehicles were available and when one did show up, you still had to wait in the line to pick up keys. This location from learn from other locations on efficiently moving customers through the system.

Every time I try to confirm or do preferred pick up with this app it errors out. It asks me to update my card, I update it and still errors. But for some reason I continue to use Avis hoping that it will get better. If I could give it 0 stars I would.
