Worst App I’ve Ever Used

This app literally does not work. At all. It will not even open. It crashes immediately after tapping the icon. It doesn’t matter if I reinstall or update the app - it is literally completely useless!
Alexa, I don’t want to use you to connect with friends and family

A recent update of this app is trying to force me to go through setting up Alexa Calling. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and always come back to the Calling setup with no way I’ve found to skip past to get to the main menu of the app. I don’t want to use Alexa calling, and I don’t want to have to agree to the terms of service for it just to see if it gets me access to the rest of the app. I wasn’t forced into this on the iPhone, just the iPad. I don’t understand.

I can access the opening screen, and it will update to show my last command, but no part of the screen is responsive and I cannot even scroll down on my tasks. I cannot change settings, access skills, etc. It is useless
Impossible to search and building songs to play from phone

If the amazon music skill within the Alexa app was actually usable without having to verbalize commands it would be great. Try building a playlist from your phone or search up music for Alexa to play via Alexa app... basically an impossible task. I dont want to verbalize all commands, I want to work off my phone to search music and build a playlist queue for Alexa to execute and play. Not possible. Just very irritating and slow to use. This has got to improve.

This app doesn’t work more often than not. We experience multiple issues with the music portion on a very regular basis. In other areas, most stuff takes forever to load, or never loads and is just blank. What purpose does this app serve if it’s never working?

It never responds especially in the list area. In getting groceries and the app is never there. Totally unresponsive!! It goes in and out at least 3-4 times a day!!! I’ve called Amazon but those techs have no clue how to fix these issues or even help! But amazon takes your money for the devices, we have two dots, 2nd gen, and they never notice that the app itself has only 3 stars??? WTH? Don’t they look at what we’re saying? This has been happening for months now with no end in sight and I’m ready to junk Alexa, the device, this app and Amazon in general!!!! How the hell hard is it to fix an app. Apple also needs to get up to the plate and stop selling and promoting apps that they have or sell in their App Store!!!! Most of them are outdated and no longer support any device at all! So ya get rid of those apps. Just another company taking money but not fixing anything!!!!!! Have uninstalled and installed thus app 12 ways from Sunday! Still freezes and is totally worthless! Guess I’ll go back to pen and paper for shopping!

The app constantly crashes. Logon, navigate to shopping list and within 30 seconds crashes every time. iOS is up to date and running with latest app updates. Very frustrating.

Alexa is great at home the app on the other hand is the worst large corporation app I have ever used. What is the point of the feature if the app refuses to function. The list feature is then useless. I was thinking this feature would be a big help as I tend to write things down in haste and then have trouble interpreting my chicken scratch at the store. As I can see from other reviewers I am not the only one. Amazon you need to fix this!!!!
