I got this app to get help with my anxiety it connected me with someone and at first they were nice and listened then that person start asking if they make me happy(I only talked to them once and this was five mins into the convo), what I was wearing, what I look like, if I was in bed, and my age I do not think that would help me I got the app and within 1 hour of having it i immediately deleted it because of the people they were connecting me to I think they should get professional therapist and do some sort of check on how they talk to people.

I volunteered for the service as a listener and the role is to listen with empathy, not judge or give out advice. I have only reached out twice when I needed someone to listen but, each time the “listeners” dismissed my feelings, and gave very unwanted advice. They really need a better training process. I always feel worse every time someone supposedly listens!

Seriously, I don’t know how this app is still available. I promise you at some point, a suicidal person has or will go here for support and it will be the catalyst for someone’s death. The “listeners” are criminally under-trained. I’m not speaking loosely, I’m honestly shocked they’re allowed to operate under how they advertise. This is literally Omegle minus the webcams. Every experience I had trying to speak to someone got me an Indian person who had little idea how to speak English, let alone understand the intricacies of mental illness as I explain. This company is better off donating money and resources to an organization that knows what they’re doing. You hear that, 7 Cups? You’re making the problems worse.

Poor customer support. No customer support at all. They just keep on suspending accounts with no specific reasons. Auto-ban. User Interface isn’t good, either. I’ll switch to Talk Life. Way too better customer service.

This app is good, but the buttons aren’t labeled very well, and Voiceover can’t read them. If this gets fixed. This app will be a 5 star app

I get questioners and crap like that, but I don’t want to give a app my personal information like address or phone number. I don’t care if it’s “in case of emergency” I’m not going to put where I live. You can have my birthdate, a false name, my country, and my state that’s it.

I have gone to 7Cups in my times of need, and each of my listeners were really bad. My worst one was an Indian man asking about details of my intercourse with my boyfriend. Definitely not the first time. Extremely uncomfortable for me regardless. The listeners are either are rude or just never respond, say hi and that’s it, or they take like five hours to respond as soon as they accept, and I sit there typing my problems out to a ghost. You guys really need to fix something with this app because tons of people are having bad experiences, myself included. This is supposed to be a safe space. You are dealing with real people and their lives.

I am a listener on this app and I absolutely love it, there are a few things that I hope someday 7Cups will be able to add, but other than that, I can’t get enough of this place, it is such a loving community. Things like this are hard to find, and on top of that, 7 Cups does a very good job, I have tried some other similar apps and this one is by far the best. Thank y’all for working soo hard to keep this place up and running! ❤️

Great app! Except for fact I can’t set my own profile. I tried following online instructions, however, it told me to go to the “drop-down menu” and select “my profile” which seems to be MISSING. ...Not sure what to do about that... I can’t do that on either my listener’s or general account.
