DONT LET KIDS ON HERE!!

SummySparkle

I went on this app for emotional support bc i needed it, after being on there for 1 hour some “listener” who was 21!!! was asking for my age, what i looked like, what i liked and if i was THIN OR CURVY?! as a child i’m genuinely scared and honestly it’s disgusting! if sweetWaterfall26 becomes your listener leave!! he shouldn’t be on there. The fact that ppl who genuinely need help come on here with hope and then have to deal with bs like this is horrible. if i could give it no stars i would but even that would be too much for this app

Scammy

(1) Their app is terrible and has so so many bugs that it’s disgusting. How can they guarantee that our information is secure when a simple “submit” button doesn’t even work properly? I’m using a fairly new iphoneX where all my other apps work so it definitely appears to be a problem with this app. The rest of the app is riddled with bugs. (2) Their options for counselors are poor and once you speak with them, you’ll see firsthand. It’s better to just chat with a random human on Reddit than it is to speak with the counselors on here. Reminds me of talking to a random customer support person from Uber. (3) Their refund and return policy is what I consider scammy. When you sign up, they only said things like “$5/day” and if you try to get a refund a few days later, they do NOT refund. When I emailed the team about this, they did NOT respond. I feel completely taken advantage of and would NEVER recommend this shoddy and scammy site to any of my friends ever.

Great but not great enough

I am signed up as a listener and I found out that you are basically there just to listen and that is it. When people seek help, we should be Abe to do what we can to help, not just listen and support them. Sure, it’s a great was to do things, but are we really helping? I get advice can be dangerous but if we have been through a similar situation before we should be able to give them the advice they need.

From okay to worse

Awesome kpop

I came to 7cups seeking advice, support, and for friends that would understand what I was going through. This app offered 1 on 1 chat and group chat where everyone was welcomed. Now for no reason they’ve decided to take away the group chat without really thinking things through. I really hope they can fix this soon.

This app is amazing

I came into this app a tad skeptical believe me. Online therapy? It’s too good to be true. But it isn’t! This is definitely an app EVERY person needs, even if it’s just for an occasional use.

Really?!

I came for someone to listen to me. All they did was tell me how awful I am. Not trained professionals, just random people who don’t care.

App for listeners?

kristen.outof.ten

I think the listener program is great and have decided to become one. Would you guys mind making a feature on the app to more easily switch between listener and someone in need of help? Possibly a “listener mode” or something of the sort, kind of how you switch accounts on social media?

Very hard to find a listener

breelarallen

On the first day I got a few people to talk to me but none of them seemed like a good match. I thought it was no big deal I’ll just keep looking. The more I looked the more I was disappointed. All I would do is say “Hello” to people who were online or who were assigned to me and there would either be slow response or no response at all. Mostly no responses. I’m glad that some people are able to find that one listener that clicks but I’ve had such rotten luck with even getting people to introduce themselves to me. All I wanted was someone to talk to about moderate anxieties I have, but I’ve given up. Also the app could have a much better setup because it’s not the most intuitive app.

Way too exhausting to become a listener... no wonder there is a shortage.

I have a bachelor’s in Psychology from an Ivy League and one of the top universities in the world in my field. There are waaaayyy too many hoops to jump through as an unpaid “listener” of this app. Just join a chat room for issues you are passionate about, instead. You’ll do more good. For the whopping sum of $0, I find their vetting process way too tedious/lengthy/pointless for someone qualified and hoping to help in their spare time for free. No wonder their are so few „listeners.“ Either compensate people for their qualified time and advice, or set up a mess vigorous process for people trying to help... sheesh...

7 Cups has changed my life

BeniBean

I’m actually being serious, I had a very bad problem that needed to be fixed and I went to 7 Cups for help and now I’m doing so much better. I go back every time I have an issue that they can help with. I’m so please with how I’ve been treated and I am going to continue using this app and company. Thank you so much!! Definitely worth the download!!!
