7 cups of tea

I am both a listener and a client on this app and I absolutely love it. It’s great for pretty much every situation and you find so many great people. I’ve found an amazing support system through this and an amazing community. 100% recommend.

Not the same.

I began using 7cups when it first started trolls were rare and people were genuinely kind and helpful. Now I find people who talk about themselves, are completely uninterested or who are easily triggered. I recently gave it one last shot, as I was in a dark place and felt like I was spiraling. Big mistake. I left feeling worse and completely hopeless. If you are someone who needs genuine help this isn’t the place for you. When you reach out for help it should be by someone who can actually give you the time of day and not continue to make you feel like you have been forgotten.

Helpful!

The people there help you with what you need. I’ve only had good experiences with the people there. The listeners listen to what you need to say and help you. It’s super easy to use too!

This app is terrible

If you are looking for support, don’t look here. I’m pretty sore all of the “listeners” are bots.

App navigation could be easier, but the resources & therapists are invaluable

In the beginning I was frustrated with the app because it is a little difficult to navigate if you are not used to the style, but eventually figured it out. There are a lot of resources outside of just a therapist connection or finding a listener that help that give you daily goals, motivations and focus paths. In time I might even become a listener. ?

so good and helpful

Futuremegantrainer

it gives you a chance to get the help u need the website is easier to use though

Listeners are not helpful

junequeen

The listeners need to be better trained to actually listen to members and provide helpful advice. On top of that, they seem super uninterested in what members are saying. I could write a whole paragraph explaining how I feel and they’ll respond with one word. My last listener told me simply that “I’m overthinking,” which is so not helpful at all. It’s better to get help from a licensed therapist.

Amazing!

I think this app is one of the best things I've ever become apart of. It genuinely is made for the intent of helping others navigate their difficult lives. It's completely judgment free and it's a great experience when you need some extra support.

Love this!!

I am a listener on 7cups and it’s such a nice space for people to be there for one another:) the only negative thing is that there’s a few glitches with the app and it’s a little hard to navigate compared to their website but it’s nice to still have a mobile version to help communicate through!

Listeners aren’t very helpful...

I think coming by a genuinely caring listener must be rare. The times that I’ve tried, I always come across people that are as uncaring as can be. Sometimes, they completely ignore the issues you want to discuss, and prefer to bombard you with questions about your age, gender, where you’re from, how old you are, etc. Other times, you may think things are going well, only to be ghosted and left hanging after you’ve spilled your guts to them. I think there needs to be something done, because I have a strong suspicion that some users take advantage of the fact that these are vulnerable people, seeking help... The active community seems to have some honest, compassionate users, though. Perhaps it’s better to engage in the forums than seek private one-on-one convos. I appreciate what the app is trying to do, I just think there are certain aspects of it that can be implemented better.
