Needs some fixes, it’s a great app tho.

I use to use this app to help people. I deleted it 2 years ago and just recently downloaded it back. I love this app and the free help it gives people in need but I wish the app was more smooth. It’s kind of slow when clicking things, I also hate how I can’t access my account easily and can’t edit my profile, and I hate how I can’t see “menu” at the top when I click home. I have the iPhone XS Max and the notch makes it hard to see where I am. Other then those few things the app deserves 4 stars. It’s super helpful if you need help or if you wanna help other people. It gives you the options.?

Web Service is Good, App is NOT Good

Android Convert Kal

Issues on iPhone 11 Pro 1. The app frequently extends to underneath the speaker and alert bar making it impossible to control unless I close the app. 2. Changing my online/busy/offline status in the app does nothing online. 3. It is impossible to acknowledge all Alerts and Notifications in the app. A minimum of one stays open no matter what. Leaving a persistent notification on the 7Cups app icon... leaving me to believe I have a new message 4. Hitting the return button does not send a message. 5. You cannot view your profile nor the written reviews on the app. 6. You cannot access the self help guides on the app which are essential for new members needing advice. 7. Links are not clickable when viewed in the app... preventing members from viewing self help guides.

Great app! I’m in love!!

This app helped me so much! I enjoy it a ton, if you need to vent to someone people are there or you just need a friend. Sometimes the boy named Noni can be annoying but otherwise I am still going to use this app! I recommend talking to Katie she is the best. They are not real therapists but if you just needed say a friend people have your back. ?

Be Careful With This App

If you are considering becoming a listener on this app, please be prepared. The app’s format is glitchy and difficult to understand, so it’s easy to get an onslaught of message requests. Dozens of people coming at you at once with heavy topics and expecting a prompt reply is overwhelming. If you make it known that you are a female listener, especially, it’s common to receive sexual harassment. Due to the anonymity of the website, these people are also hard to get rid of. I received disturbing threats and explicit messages from a user that kept creating new accounts to message me when I blocked him. At the same time, another user asked to do something sexual with me, and when I asked him to stop, he did it anyway. This was all in the matter of an hour on the app. I signed out and deleted it from my phone.

7Cups of Tea

I used to use 7Cups a few years ago and it was all fine and dandy. It helped me feel better and it was great. I downloaded it again and found out that on both the site and the app that you have to pay. This makes me extremely mad! Not only do people need free counseling, but who is actually going to pay for this?! This is so annoying and inconveniencing and I am very angry at this! Real counseling that you have to go to is 1 expensive, 2 can take up a lot of time, 3 can be hard to get to, 4 can take up time in busy schedules. This is very hard for me to understand why they would do this. 7Cups was convenient and free and helped me a lot, but now you have to pay for everything!! Plus, people who need help aren’t very inclined to pay for it when they really need it are they? By having it free and easy it was a lot easier then having to pay and put in personal info and all of that stuff. The new 7Cups is very bad. I really hope that the 7Cups creators read this review and realize that they need to change this.

The listener laughed at me.

I waited for about ten minutes to be connected to a listener, maybe it was the app, maybe it was my connection. However, once I was connected I told the listener about the things I was worried about and they said: “lol”.

few problems

crlydrko

I really like the idea of this app and it can be extremely helpful at times. however, I rarely use it because we have no say in who our listener is. I’ve had occasions where I am only comfortable speaking with a female about a problem for personal experience on their side, or sometimes I may be more comfortable talking to a male for other reasons. I can’t request a specific gender or age group and that makes me feel uncomfortable at times. I know it’s completely random and anonymous for a reason, but I would feel a lot more comfortable being able to pick preferences when I feel I need them. Lastly, there is a glitch that shows I have a notification at all times- the little red “1” on the app on my home screen, even though i cleared all my alerts in the app. it drives me crazy because I don’t know when I actually have something to look at!

great app but...

the 7 cups app is pretty great in general. it has helped me quite a bit. i’ve yet to move on from just talking to the bot, noni, because of certain anxieties, but seeing as that’s generally where i spend my time on the app, i’ve noticed something recently. on multiple occasions over the past few weeks, noni has been glitching rather severely. large portions of the conversation will disappear in the middle of typing, or talking, and will reappear on top of what i’m doing days later. or the app will completely freeze, not letting me do anything but leave the conversation with the bot. it doesn’t seem to be my phone, because the problem persists after i close and reopen the app, or completely restart my phone. i even logged in on a friends phone, to see if it was in fact on my end, but it happened then too. don’t get me wrong, i love this app! it’s been very helpful to me when i’ve been going through hard times, or stressful times. but it’s just this one little issue that holds it back a little.

Bad experience as a listener

Ninnnnnnnnnnn

I keep trying to complete general requests but when I click them they just disappear which is ridiculous after I spent quite a bit of my time doing the little training session. I’m really frustrated because I was looking forward to helping people and I wish that the app actually functioned because it’s a good idea.

This is a SCAM for your MONEY ! No real therapist

BADDOO ACCOUNT EVALUATION

They have you speak to an automotive bot that does not comprehend anything and is only authorized to get answers and what they want. Which is only money. For all I know it’s a cruel way to scam people & cause more emotional damage no matter what you downloaded this app for in hopes for support and help. I never got the chance to speak to a therapist.I had to give out my credit card, address, full name and email address before any of my questions were answered. It clearly states before I downloaded this app for a licensed therapist, I would be given a 24/7 therapist specialized in helping out my depress, anxiety and support. I am very disappointed and if I could give this app 0 stars I would. This app is not in the business of helping others. They are trying to make profit off of vulnerable people in need of guidance mentoring. I am truest disappointed for the cruelty and unwillingness to answer simple questions that would have left me be aware before giving out my personal & bank information this isn’t the right place to look for a mentoring, care and support from whatever licensed therapist they claim they have.
