Probably the worst idea if you’re truly struggling. The people that are “listeners” give the dumbest advice. They cannot relate to you nor do they have any idea what they’re talking about.

Awesome when you need to get something off of your chest. Helps you. But you gotta know that these people aren’t therapists. But it is good for a second option.

UPDATE: I’ve come to realize this site protects and harbors predators, bullies, and bigots while harassing the very community that holds it up. Join at your own risk. You will find help maybe 15% of the time. The rest, it’s just chaotic and uncomfortable. ———————— This app has helped me out tremendously. With that being said, it does have drawbacks. Not all listeners respond after you get paired with them (and I’m talking within the first few seconds of being paired) and the forums are a nice idea but difficult to follow as you usually have to scroll back a few pages to find the messages people leave for you. I wish there was a better way of being notified and going to the part of the thread that contains your message. But when I’ve really been in some tough spots, with patience I’ve found some nice folks to talk to through this app.

I love 7 cups it’s a wonderful app, you can help people or people can help you. For me helping other people makes me feel better and it’s my therapy!!!

I am beside myself. These listeners are not experienced and none of them ever talked to me. Get a different app if you want help. I highly recommend doing so.

As someone who has been on both ends of the conversations, this is a really good mental health resource. It’s free and accessible with quick responses at all times. I love being able to help people through this application.

While I was waiting for my 1 on 1 they said they will send me positive memes until they’ve found me someone to talk with. At first, the memes were coming in once every 30 seconds or so but it had gone on for ten minutes so I sent them messages like “how long” and I quickly realized that if I’m not done typing by the time the next automated meme comes then my message will be deleted. The more complaints I texted the bot- the faster the memes came. I waited on the app for 30 or so minutes before I gave up.

I have been going through serious up and down issues in my life recently and I wanted to try out the free 3 day subscription because it might be easier and more effective for me. By the time my therapist responded with information to work with me I was charge 150! I reached out through phone several times and I have emails multiple times and have sent in refund requests twice. I am a college student and this is really not helping me. It is stressful and this didn’t help me at all, please just respond and give a refund. I will not recommend this to anyone I know and I am reporting this to my college student center as a bad and unprofessional resource. I am still waiting back after a week and a half about this refund!
