New update..ugh!

I really hate the new update! I loved the old one. I could tell instantly by seeing the green arrow if I was down and scroll through the different charts. It gave me a little incentive to want to see that green arrow on weigh in. Now, nothing. I just bought another YUNMAI for our second home, but am thinking of looking for something else with an app I like. Everything else is fine. Just please put the arrows back on the weigh in graphic!!!! I would be giving 5 stars otherwise. That’s how much I dislike the update!
New update forces you to register an account!

Why do I need to register to use the scale that I paid full price for! Thanks for nothing. I will find another scale solution!
What happened to the nice UI?

Something changed recently for this app and it now looks awful. Used to have a clean, light blue UI with easy to read numbers and response. New app looks clunky and is more difficult to read and use.
Security and privacy concerns

They changed the app to now require creating a login, with nothing to indicate what data will be recorded remotely. I am very unhappy about this change since I don’t want to share my data indiscriminately and there is no way to access information other than weight on the scale without the app. I give two stars because I enjoyed using the app before without the required login. I hope the developer change back the login requirement.
Nice new update but...

Your new update is nice and more user friendly BUT it wiped out all the history on my account. All my tracking is gone. I’m so disappointed.

With a single APP update, YUNMAI has managed to take my physical scale hostage. And, unless I pay the ransom of signing up for their cloud based online service, I can never use my scale again. THIS IS CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR.

After using the scale for years, suddenly the application won’t work unless I give PII data to YUNMAI? Introducing a new condition of use like this on a product I already fully paid for is absolutely unacceptable. Save your money, don’t buy anything from this company.
App Now Requires Login

Be forwarded - the new version of the app requires you to create an account before you can use your scale. This wasn’t the case before the update. Edit: I spoke to YUNMAI support who confirmed that the above is true. YUNMAI’s privacy policy mentions weird stuff like taking a voice print and recording your app usage. I wouldn’t buy this scale again given the chance.
Update forces login, forgot password

I used a non email address to create my account. The app updated automatically to version 3 and wants me to login. I don’t remember my password and the email account is not a real email. So all of my data from the last 3 years is gone. Thanks YUNMAI for forcing a login. No way to go back to the previous version to fix my account so that this doesn’t happen. No warning. Thanks. Now I have to start over. Might as well start over with a new scale and vendor. All so you could add a smart jump rope.
