Update: Try getting an answer from Yunmai on if they are going to remove the login requirement in the future, I’ve asked several times and they won’t even respond to my email. Version 3.0 requires you to create an account and sign in order to use it. Totally unnecessary. I wish I had read the reviews before updating, then I wouldn’t have updated the app. Developer please remove this requirement.
Do not update if you value your privacy!

I don’t know why this app now requires you to register. For what? I’m a UI/UX designer and you should at least tell the user the benefits of registering. There is no way to skip either. Please remove this “feature”.
Hate the Update

10/18/20: I’ve stopped weighing daily because I hate the new app so much. (Used to be an automatic habit.) Looking for a new scale to replace this one now. STAY AWAY from this scale - DO NOT PURCHASE. I regret purchasing from this company because they obviously are not listening to their customers about the update. Lowering rating to 1 star. 9/29/20 (After update): I wish with all my heart that I hadn’t taken the update. I hate it more than words can say. The previous version was so much more attractive. Update with caution! Lowering rating from a 5 to a 2.
Very poor app

When I first purchased my scale the available app was much more intuitive. It wasn’t perfect but it was usable. The current version is terrible. After using it for a couple of months I still can’t navigate it. It is finicky. When I see an app like this it is obvious that it was designed by someone who doesn’t actually use the app. To them I am sure it must make sense. Definitely not to me.

This new app blew away all of my old data and then forced me to create a login. Wont ever buy a product from this company again. Erased two years of data. Gave me no choice but to do it too. BS!
Fail
No longer a smart scale
This new app automatically replaced the old app without permission and without warning erasing all my stored data. All the body measurements history is just gone. Also now requires an email to sign up. No thanks. Will try and return the scale for a refund as it no longer is a smart scale since it can now only do body weight.
Why do I need an account?

With the new update, I need to register for an account to connect the app to my scale. So by updating, I lost features. An account was never required before. I would like to return my scale since you have made it less useful. Edit: It's been a month since this disaster of an update. Almost all reviews are one star complaints. Why don't you listen to your customers and roll back the log in requirement?

Latest app update forces registration for use and data to be sent to Yunmai. Not acceptable. This means the scariest “privacy” agreement that doesn’t actually protect you in any way. Apple really needs to warn people about agreement changes like this. Remember to mark reviews helpful to make sure they show up as the first review users see.
