Love tutor mode

This is a great way to learn backgammon and it’s improved my play a lot. I love the options at the end for Doubling and resigning, and I’ve only seen one bug after playing quite a bit. (Screen freeze) I got in a weird situation with that bug though. I tried a lot of things to get out of the frozen screen and eventually tried to upgrade to premium just to get rid of it. My credit card is now charged for the premium version but even when I read download the game it’s still wants me to pay for it again. Other than that I really like this version of the game.

Excellent play and analysis. Two bugs so far: First, if you’re doing an unlimited session and unpin the toolbar I couldn’t re-pin the bar without deleting and reinstalling the app. Second, if you’re going through help screens it won’t page through the sections. You have to backtrack to the menu and pick another section. It hasn’t been updated for a year, so I’m worried about long term use. HOWEVER, it was worth the purchase for me. I’m learning a lot and I’m glad I bought it so I only took off one star. Update it and it’s a six star app.

Good App. It allows you to change your mind double etc.

This is a good and powerful program, but it is very difficult to figure out. The developer should do some training videos to help us. I have since learned that Phil Simborg has an explanatory video. It's worth it to buy it if, like me, you had trouble. No, it is constantly crashing. Update: this is good to work on your game, but not good if you really want to play to win because you never get lucky. Other sites are better if you want to play.

By far the most advanced Backgammon app on iOS. The design could be better. My only down side except the cheating ha ha, is that the double offer appear right where the dices rolls, so you usually tap there when you don’t want to, by accepting or refusing the doubling offer. Please, change the place of that pop up. Thank you!

Put it on the tutorial and you will improve dramatically. No, the dice aren’t rigged. You will find that making the correct move essentially means that more of the most likely rolls will help you. The dice seem rigged, as if the computer always gets a good roll, because the number of good rolls (of all possible) is higher. Pay attention to the cube to understand why opening moves change. If you’re within one game of winning the tournament, the ideal opening move might not be the Sam as when you’re starting out at 0 games each. The AI is phenomenal and makes me believe that neural network programming will some day solve all our problems or enslave humankind. I tip my hat to the developers and recall paying 10x this price for a version of Snowie back in the day. It’s humbling, but it’s a great way to learn.

Great way to learn, tutor mode is helpful at showing where you should have placed your checkers. Pricey though.
