Much Improved

This app just gets better. New version not crashing. Yes, it will kick your butt. And... you can do the same - if you play well. Have fun!

XG Mobile Backgammon

The new upgrade while very late in coming has so far fixed all the problems I was experiencing and the additional features are helpful. XG is back to my primary iOS Backgamon app. This app has been buggy since the last upgrade. It took the author a month to get it to work with iOS 9 and he still didn't get it right. We now have iOS 10 and I wonder how the app will work with it. The author could a least take the time to fix the crash bugs in app.

Awesome

Very strong engine, great features for improving my game

Cheats!

Jtsarby

I like everything about this game except for how the computer cheats. I've lost count of the number of times it rolls double after double. I wish they were a way to make the rolls truly random.

Great app!

Strong, good teacher but nonetheless fun!

Don't bother! Terrible sim

I've probably played this game through 15,000 times at least over the past couple years. The good - nice, clean interface, not dependent upon an active internet connection. The not so good - dice rolls are absolutely not random, and always favor the bot. They are predictable to a comical degree, except it isn't enjoyable, educational or fun. Do not waste a penny on the paid version - so frustrating and unrealistic. Terrible.

A good tutorial but ...

XG is s great app as a tutorial/learning tool for optimal moves. However playing it straight up either in match or regular game mode is very frustrating; 90% of the time the computer gets the perfect roll for its situation, and it often gives the player less than optimal rolls. The dice don't fall true.
