It’s great....but

This is one of the better games on the market. It is very challenging and fair up to a point. However like most other BG app games available, it has a very demonstrable dice algorithm which holds doubles until the opponent or player are either on the bar, or stuck in the backfield. If there is a setting which precludes this tendency while still making the computer a championship player, it would be nice to know what it is. Other than that, the program is very well written and enjoyable to play.

Don’t waste your money. The game cheats.

There is absolutely no doubt that the game cheats. It always gets the dice that it needs. It will roll five doubles out of seven rolls (three in a row) when you are in a race to bear off, 90% of the time it will get on the board on the first roll after being hit, even with only one open slot, it’s always able to jump a 4 or 5-point prime, and almost always wins the first roll. I can go on and on. The experts will tell you that the algorithm/dice are random. BS. I’ve been playing backgammon for 60 years and though I’m not an professional player, I know when Im getting shafted. It’s random when it’s once or twice. When it is every game and every roll, I don’t think so. Can I get my money back Game-site 2000?

Once you set the opponent as expert or higher, it will get the roll it needs most times and EVERY game, they will fill all available slots, every time. Good game other than that. It would just be nice for it to be truly random rolls. Could use some definitions of some of the stats.

27 games played and no wins. Every time I was ahead the app through double after double. One time 4in a row! Won’t waste my time with something that rigged.

I should have paid attention to the people who said the dice are fixed. If you rolled in a tournament like this app does for itself, you’d be strung up in a hotel lobby. Also, the "extended hints" are a joke. They’re usually just a math equation without any explanation accompanying it. Don’t buy! I want my $9.99 back!!!

I understand that this is supposed to help but I get very frustrated that when I make a “wrong” move, I get buried. Doesn’t help me.

I'm afraid I've become too conservative a player as a result of using this training app. The program rolls so much better than it plays that I find myself not taking risks I should take. When I play other players I'm surprised when they don't roll better. Of course they don't. No player can roll like this program. Just a word of caution.
