It use to work great

I loved this app when I first downloaded it, used it all the time. But about 6-8 months ago it stopped working. I called support, talked to a few departments, emailed the tech people, thought I had the issues resolved, but it’s happens again and again. Someday when they decide to fix it I’ll try again... but for now I’ve deleted it. Once again I will be hunting for the remote my kids always have hidden somewhere... because the remote app doesn’t work again

Giving this app 1 star is a compliment. Comcast dropped the ball on this one. Why can’t I record anymore. Bad Comcast bad!!!!!

Most features of the remote are there. However, having 3 different sections is really not needed. Why not just have all the same features of whatever ur current remote being issued out be the same of the UI when customers open it up. There are many other "universal remotes" out there including brands like samsung where they have an app for most versions of their different remotes. Not sure why that would be so difficult to do to make it easier to do. If you want the voice control part to be a separate tab i can kinda understand that, but for the rest it does not make any sense. Or even give the choice to the customer by allowing us to pick which remote resembles their current one and implement those features to an extent based on those choices. One of the BIGGEST ANNOYANCES to me is having no power button at all, but mostly NO VOLUME BUTTON AT ALL, which is very important to all customers to be able to control not only the guide or use on demand, but being able to turn the volume up or down as needed. I mean u have many customers, millions of dollars, dedicated design teams and app teams and NO ONE has thought about adding a volume button. The idea of using the app for a remote is usually when u lost ur remote or when the batteries die and u have done. please just add an on/off button and volume button at the least.

Comcast is a fantastic company! That is most certainly manifested through this remote app for Xfinity. From the initial use, I’ve found this app certainly ideal for all users. Excellent! Thank you so much, Comcast! You’re the best!

Wouldn’t it be nice if the tiny brained little engineers that made cable boxes NOT require a sign-in. Turns out renters that get their cable from the landlord don’t have access to the account but would still like to use their smartphone as a remote. Derp.

Stopped responding the past few days


Stuck - can’t get past the Get Started Screen

Love it. Hate nicknames.

I click on the Get Started button and it takes me the login page where it shows I am logged in. I hit the Continue button on that screen and it takes me back to the app and the same screen with the Get Started button..., and the cycle continues. 3 Xfinity reps who all asked the same questions and had me to the same things..., most of which I had already tried.., and then my phone died. I see why the app had a 1 star rating!
