1/4/2020 - can’t enter password for WiFi. Keeps deleting characters as fast as I type them. No, the “DEL” key on my iPhone is not stuck!! Update 4/3 - Well after a while can confirm that the firmware updates and everything else is stable and working swimmingly. So I’ll push score to 5, for now. WHassup - no push notifications? Back Down to 1: apparently for some reason (maybe a spontaneous firmware update?) I have to log into the app again and now the cameras don’t connect. What’s that - unplug the camera? Hard to do from 1000 miles away. hello hello McFly??? Up to 3: have two of the cams now, regular and pan/tilt. One idiosyncrasy is having to log in each time Back to 1 Star So the house of house of cards that is the Internet of things rears it’s ugly head. New Wi-Fi router, has a 2.4 GHz network, will not scan the QR code. Stuck on “ready to connect” - paperweight hello McFly!!!! Update - as long as one has 3+ LTE bars you get a great HD video. For 45% of the places I go, no video. Well setup is easy and it works well. As long as you are at your home network? But if I want to look outside while at home I can look out the window. Possible issue appears to be Byzantine setup criteria where an SD card is required lest it try to steam full HD which is rarely possible...

I like the app, but we really need to have the option to use our fingerprint or Face ID to login to the account. It’s 2020 and it’s still not available?
Make this work with google home!

I bought the light bulb and downloaded the app to use with my Google Home. The box advertised that it would be compatible with Google Home, so I assume Wyze has a team of developers working to fix this issue with the app..... Otherwise it’s false advertising. Fix your app.

This app initially did not require GPS to set up the light bulbs. It’s not necessary. I said “No Thanks” to providing my GPS and installation of light bulb(s) stops ?
Great hardware, really poor software design

Constant re-authentication. Constant sound dropping off. The software is super unreliable. When it works, it’s great but for the life of me, I wish it would stay authenticated.
App Doesn’t Work

I ordered a Wyze camera a couple of weeks ago and (after a late delivery) finally went to set it up today. I installed the app and... nothing happened. It is frozen on the welcome screen. I went to read the reviews and found out that there was a data breach that exposed the private information of millions of customers, and that the problem went undetected for weeks. There’s no way I’m trusting a company to have access to a camera that shows my home if they can’t keep their customers’ information secure. I’m returning the camera and am happy I did not provide them with any of my information.

A great camera, but I recently stopped getting notifications sent to my phone, so kind of defeats the purpose of being notified when someone is in your home when you’re not there.
