The device price is great if only the app worked

The app is so glitchy it’s probably why the cameras are cheap. You can’t unplug it in from one room, unplug it, and put it in another room without having to delete the device from the app, reinstalling it, and waiting 20 attempts for it to connect to your internet. You’d think the app would remember the camera regardless if you unplugged it or not. Heaven forbid a kid unplugs it, then it’s a 20 minute process to reconnect it and reinstall your devices to the app. This last time I had to completely delete the app off my phone and reinstall it. Just be prepared for lots of headaches.

I got this camera on my 3D printer so I can see when it’s done but… the app can work sometimes

latest app version disconnects airpods

once connecting airpods, the first video plays back fine. but it consistently plays back subsequent videos over the speaker. so the next video does not play from the correct audio output. ios settings say airpods are still connected. regardless, i have to reconnect after every video playback just to have it not play from external speakers.

So many disappointments

I love the camera and loved the idea of having a little extra home security with a new baby, plus two teenagers at home. BUT... I am so disappointed in the features that the camera claims to have but that have all failed to work for me. For example... When I attempt to connect the camera to Alexa, the app just totally crashes. And no matter what I do to setup motion detection notifications, they just don’t work. The camera apparently “sleeps” or goes offline when you’re not using the app so unless you stream the feed to your phone the whole time you’re gone, it’s pretty useless without a memory card to record. The app needs some MAJOR updates in order for the camera + app to be considered remotely useful.

I’ve deleted this app and reinstalled it, still no success in trying to scan that bare bode that your app is so dearly waiting to scan. A complete waits of my time and money!

They’re learning. Mistakes are made. But they fix them for the better. They are upfront about issues. All said I have 8 cameras. 16 sensors and a lock and I couldn’t afford that with any other company. 7 of the cameras are in protective cases outside, 2 directly out in the rain and now snow and ice and they are doing great.

Don’t waste your money. You get what you pay for.

Lights don’t connect, message connection timeout for every bulb in the package.

Data transfer via USB to USB cable option.

It could be better to transfer data by USB to USB cable without removing micro SD card. Also password protection of card to delete data etc so that only authorised people can access card data. Software update can make that happen.

When these cameras work they work good. When there is a problem they are junk. Customer service does not seem to have any knowledge of the product, hit and miss approach the trouble shooting. Ok for dog watching but I would never recommend them for a serious security application.
