Great company with great products

I own 4 v2 cams, 12 cam pans, 1 outdoor camera, 2 bands, and a scale. I have had ZERO issues with WYZE products short of the connector for the strap on the band breaking, which they took care of to my satisfaction. I do not work for WYZE nor am I receiving any compensation for my review. I realize this should be an app review but WYZE deserves an atta-boy/girl for their products as well.

You get what you pay for

Despite my WiFi router being 15 feet away from the camera, playing back video generates errors half the time and barely works. And when it does work, don’t bother trying to skip around in the video because it takes forever to play again. It’s obvious these cheap cameras and this poorly designed app falls under the “you get what you paid for” motto. It’s a shame. I personally will never buy another Wyze product due to this horrible experience.

Camera fantastic. App could be better

Only an issue miss that we have about 8 cameras and a bunch of devices. Need better grouping. Need better camera switching and views. Really need to support dark mode!! But it works well, give access to stuff, setup of new devices and alerts. Overall great company. Hope to see app improvements is a relatively minor complaint.

This release broke everything

Upgraded the app. It logged me out and when logged back in all my devices are gone. Then suddenly they are all back. Something really weird is going on with the app.

So the last update that was pushed today seems to have broken the app. Cannot login in anymore. Reset my password and it forgot all of my devices. All my tracking with the Wyze scale is long gone. Please revert.

I just updated to the latest version. It logged me out of the app. When I logged back it, all 4 of my cameras and all 10 of my outlets were missing. Now I have to set them all back up again. STAY AWAY FROM THE HORRIBLE UPDATE!

Doesn’t record events anymore.

My wise cam was working well until the recent updates. I updated the firmware and the app. Now, it doesn’t record about half the events. Why doesn’t it work anymore? Also, when I would view events, I could click playback and see the events on my micro SD card. Now, when I click playback, I see the current moment. Kindly take away your updates. The camera was good before you updated.

Needs a widget

This app runs smoothly and I haven’t experienced problems like bugs or glitches. I’ve only used it to control lightbulbs, so I don’t know about any of the other products. But I gave it three stars because it lacks a widget. It kind of ruins the convenience if I have to open the app and wait for it to load just to turn a lightbulb off instead of flipping a switch on the wall. I’ve had home devices in the past that I controlled through an app, and having a widget just made the convenience triple. If this app had a widget I might give it five stars.

Can rarely connect to cameras these days

I have two cameras, and neither of them connect to the app to watch livestream when I launch it. Sometimes I restart my phone or relaunch the app and it connects about 10% of the time. It used to work great, but over the last few months (~Aug-Oct 2020) it is less and less reliable.
