they fix a host of issues that just cropped up with their latest app upgrade. Great image. Low price. Easy to install. Latest upgrade 8/28/19 caused events to not record and many settings I try to change including restart device give me the failed reply. If they fix this quickly I’d be glad to revise back to 5 stars. I think it’s the best deal around. An hour later it’s all back. And they get 5 stars. Who can figure?

Update disaster averted - delete and reinstall

I have four Wyze cams and am generally very impressed with them. The price/performance ratio is excellent. However, today (Aug 28) after the update to the app, my iPad app wouldn’t connect at all (the app thought I was not connected to the internet) and the iPhone app appears to still be working but all event history has vanished. So I deleted the app, restarted my iPad, and reinstalled the app. Now everything works great again.
Going backwards

In the latest release they removed functionality. Before I was able to use a Wyze bulb as a light and night light automatically. Now you can only control on and off automatically. The intensity control was removed. You might as well go back to a manual timer.
Too many compromises

Lack of HomeKit support. Poor reliability and quality control of hardware. Devices randomly decide to work or not work especially the new sensors (no it’s not my WiFi - nice try though) It’s basically a repackaged Chinese knockoff brand with some software enhancements.
