THERE IS NO INTELLIGENT REASON for you to change the DEFINITIONS format
WHY oh WHY?????????
? I’ve been playing this game for several years solely because of the word definitions, derivations, definitions in various languages and photos. This feature in invaluable to people who choose to expand their education in linguistics. I can’t imagine any users complaining about the feature, so I’m assuming that it was the creators of this app who decided to no longer provide it this feature. Another feature that has changed is that users are forced to watch long ads. Before this change, users could simply opt out by stopping playing and then “reboot”. This was obviously a financial decision. Perhaps the admins weren’t satisfied by their income. Please return to the former status. Please. The updated version is suitable for Middle School kids. This change is insulting. If the update remains as is, I’ll delete it and write a review and post on several online sites. UPDATE: After receiving no response to my email, which is copied above, this review follows suit. I did find a better app which offers the definition style that you deleted.

I would give this a negative 5 if I could. I’ve had this app for years & used to love it. Changing the game to force feed timed ads after every round ruined this game for me. It’s format and quick-playability were great before change. Adding in-game purchasing or ad-free upgrade options would be fine. But as it is now, I’ll be deleting this old friendly app.

I just can’t believe you would put so much development effort into making this app worse. As others have already said, there are issues with touch sensitivity, word resets, game crashes and more that simply weren’t there before, and no one has bothered to fix them since they’ve shown up. Even in its current poor ui state I’d pay for an ad-free version. But there’s no way I’m dealing with an ad every single round - and yes, I’m aware that I can close them “after a few seconds”. It’s still unplayable. Shame on you for destroying such an excellent app.

I’ve played Word Warp for a long time and loved it. But now the endless ads have taken the fun out of what was once my go-to puzzle game. Now deleted.

This game is great, really makes you think and stretch your brain to keep you sharp. I’ve had it for years but now the constant ads that no longer disappear within 10 to 20 seconds is becoming burdensome. I can’t enjoy the game anymore for trying to close out the constant ads after every game. I understand they want to sell other Apps, but this commercialism is making me too angry to continue playing the game. I am very disappointed in the commercialism that has ruined this game.

UPDATE Nov 27: I see the developer has responded with a canned response…as they’ve done to so many others. It’s too bad they are not actually reading what we’re saying? So..I too have been a lover of this game for YEARS. Recently got back into playing it only to find an ad after?EVERY?game? I went to settings to upgrade and pay for the darned thing to turn off the annoying ads..umm…there’s no way to do that in the app. WHY?! I then searched the App Store for a possible paid version to relieve me of the ads…thwarted again! No paid version available (that I can find). For the love of all that is holy just let us PAY YOU MONEY! We are all out here screaming we love you and want to give you money and you won’t take it. What the what?! If you were new, I’d understand the delay and appreciate the time the coding takes. But umm…y’all been at this since at least 2016. I know you can do it?. We all have faith you can get that code whipped out to get paid. ? I’m gonna need y’all to make it top priority to allow us to upgrade the app to lose the ads or I, like many, will have to go play somewhere else. I’m happy to update my review to 5 stars when and if this is done. Let’s GO, TEAM WORD WARP??!
