Addictive

'Addictive' seems to be a common description of this game and it is. It makes spending agonizing time waiting in long lines, doctor visits, sitting in the car waiting for the ferry, etc, just disappear. I've been playing word warp for over 5 years and a few times I've had to delete it just to quell the 'addiction'. I enjoy the game very much, but wish they'd introduce more words such as "tor" or "Rex"-you know, scrabble and cross word puzzle words, to make it a little more challenging. I also cannot stand the ads for other games! They don't sway me one bit to cross over to the other side. They advertise games that don't even relate to my interests-come on....Candyland?...or whatever it's called. A kids version would be cool because my 8 year old grandson enjoys trying to play the game. Anyway, I'm playing now when I should be going outside and enjoying this great memorial weekend....and I HAVE a life! Haha!

I just deleted the Word Warp app after having it on various iPhones over the last 4 or 5 years. It's a fun game to pass the time when I'm waiting for something. During the first couple of years, popup ads were frequent following the end of a round of play. Frequent but benign. And expected, as this is the free version and I completely understand the need to support their efforts. However, over the last 6-9 months, popup game ads occur after 90% of all round play and you are FORCED to either play some random game that I will never have an interest in or completely shut down the app in order to resume Word Warp play. This is not just annoying, it is intrusive and I will not be required to do so in the name of 5 mins of leisure time. No other game that I am familiar is so flagrantly in your face. Do NOT download the Word Warp app unless you want to spend over 50% of your time avoiding advertising that is forced upon you.

Has provide hours of fun not to mention the mind challenge. I was amazed at how our vocabulary has changed over the years and the words we no longer use. The dictionary is a great addition to this game. It would be nice to have less pop ups but why complain it's a free enjoyable game.

I really enjoy this app. I have been forced to remain in bed rest and this app has helped pass the time. It is just challenging enough to make me use my brain but not so hard as to make me feel stupid.

I love that you can adjust the time limit, to push yourself or just relax. I can spend a lot of time doing this!

I am a closet linguist...I love words! I love the way they sound the way they feel. Yeah, I'm a nerd. However, this little app teaches me new words and tests my aptitude in a really fun way. Keeps my brain sharp too! Thanks, WORD WARP! xoxo

But there are some BS words like "thou" and "thy", while "couth" apparently is not. Quite a few other real words missing. And the ads get overwhelming. Swipe it off and restart is usually quicker.
