Addicting

Love the game, but the ads are driving me crazy! Wish we could go back to the ad-free game.

Explodes with loud ads at any time!

emailboy

I was using this game as a way to occupy myself and do something mentally challenging when waiting, often in public. But the app, with no warning and no way to stop it, suddenly plays a loud ad, drawing attention to me and annoying everyone around me. Who could possibly think this is acceptable?

And, now I have ads...

AMINIAC

I straight up paid for the ad-free version of this app in 2013 (yes, I still have the email receipt). Why am I getting ads now since updating??? Did my purchase expire??? Rip. Off.

Fun game not fun anymore

I’ve had this game for years and originally paid for it. My husband and I enjoy playing it together when sitting around or traveling. But, now I’m afraid I’m going to have to find another game as I’m so over dealing with an ad each time I play a game. I’ve tried to be patient but it’s just too much. Five stars for the game. Minus 3 for the inconvenience of the too frequent ads.

Too Much Advertising

The new version doesn’t let you advance without watching an ad! It’s annoying...ads take more time than a timed round of play. Avoid this version!

Too many ads and too loud

Ljlmusic

I’m done. There are too many ads that run too long before allowing you to close them, and many have sound that plays very loud even if you have the app sound turned off. They play over music even if you’re listening to music while you play the game. Got another app (Wordstock) that’s basically the same game for $1.99 with no ads and no sound that blasts out by surprise. It was good while it lasted — over ten years I’ve used it. No more. Bye, Word Warp.

Too many adds

It was once add free. What happened?

Repeating games and LOUD ads.

I have been playing this game regularly for years but the most recent update is horrible. You can mute the sound on the game BUT NOT THE ADS. I wear headphones and like to listen to audiobooks while I play. When I finish a game if I’m not 100% on it (meaning I close the game and reopen to avoid the ads) the sound on some ads literally blast me so I jump from fright and scare everyone around me to boot. I am also seeing A LOT more repeat games on the regular dictionary version. At first I thought it was because I wasn’t online but it doesn’t matter - happens once or twice each session-unacceptable! Make it easier to replace tiles - similar to Word Fridge where you can try different things easily. I won’t even try the harder version because some words are so obscure you have to move them around. So, all that being said the developers could fix a few things and have a fantastic game. As it sits it stinks.

Video ads unacceptable!

Gayle P

Ads were tolerable before, but i refuse to watch entire video ads. I came here to BUY the ad-free version, and there is none! Guess I won't be playing my favorite word game until they are gone.

Too many ads

Get rid of all the ads. I paid for the version without ads. Then you ‘updated’, and I lost the ad-free version. There is an ad after every game. Please give me the ad-free version that I paid for awhile ago. Update: this is the standard response. Don’t you get revenue from the people who pay for the ad-free version? Clearly people don’t like the change that you have made. You have so many complaints and 1-star reviews. Does this not show you need to go back to what the people want?
