The update made it a pain to hook up and I can’t monitor my systems while moving. Poor choices.

If this is the future, actron and Bosch are OUT for me. Can’t diagnose an intermittent problem when it disconnects as soon as motion is detected. What a bunch of crap! Don’t even bother wasting your time or money. I unlocked everything (which isn’t cheap) so I could have the functionality and the forced update breaks it on purpose!

having used other scan tools (oem and others) I find this to be barely useful. I have tried it 4 of my own vehicles (all late 90s jeep and GM so the pids should all be readily available) and there is barely any data displayed. most of the time it can't even discover the correct available modules. there is a lack of customizability when data is displayed and you're forced into landscape mode. with a little work this app could be the best in it's category but there hasn't been an update to it since I bought it a year ago it would be great if it would auto detect and connect to the bluetooth obd connector instead of being required to manually connect in settings. also once connected it takes the app almost 2 minutes to realize it's connected. if I don't add the vehicle to my garage it won't let me do anything else with it. sometimes I just want to scan for codes without adding to my garage Opened the app and it insisted on doing a firmware update. The UScan device never came back online after the update.

I bought this unit to try reading my car’s engine code and to keep at home. The first thing the app asks for is to update the unit. Once you start the update it freezes and becomes completely unresponsive. Nothing I tried could make this work, so I lost my patience and had to return it within an hour of trying to make it work in complete frustration. I wish I read the reviews before buying it; It wasted so much of my time.

I switched from android to Apple, and had to pay for all the add ons again. And now that you cant access the live data with the car in gear it has lost all value. This will be the last U scan I buy. I have run a very successful business with the UScan as my only fleet diagnostic tool. Since it only now works with the car idling in park, it is no more valuable than a $35 plug in scanner.
Useful device turned to garbage by app update

Apparently Bosch and Actron want to tank their sales. I’ve used this device for years, but they decided to neuter the live data function by allowing access to the data only when the vehicle is stopped. I guess they didn’t figure that a passenger could use the device to diagnose intermittent issues. I’ll be dumping my u-scan for something else.

I used to use it all the time and now it just is garbage. Maybe it was the update or maybe it was the company but either way I want my money back for the u-scan device and the money I spent on the package got.

Crashes all the time can’t even do a scan. I paid for all features on this app and they took away functionality one of the reasons I purchased U-SCAM was for the ability to see diagnostic on the run now the device unplugs once vehicle stars moving I don’t understand the logic behind this update. It also wouldn’t connect to the U-Scan dongle this is a real scam GIVE BACK MY MONEY

The new version is disabled when the vehicle is moving. That makes it a lot less useful. It’s also become much more difficult to establish the Bluetooth connection. I wish I could give the update zero stars. It was a decent product before I updated. Now it’s crap.
