Do not buy!!! This de ice only offers code reading and no other diagnostic help. I bought another reader for $15 and was able to perform specific tests
After Update

I tried tried the software update but could not complete the last leg, message saying to connect device. But, the Bluetooth on my phone would not allow it to connect from list of previously connected devices. I tried “forget this device” and a few different tries as getting the phone and device to recognize each other but in the end it worked. Good luck.
What a joke

This is the worst product I have ever used the Bluetooth is completely obsolete... it will not run a single scan and keeps saying the vehicle is moving or out of range. This thing wasn’t cheap either. Not happy at all, don’t waste your time or money with this.
Take it back!

If you purchased the U-scan device at Advanced auto or any other parts store take it back immediately! There are much better solutions. I bought the HT200 at Walmart and it provides much better info including working live data.
Hard to Connnect

You already had to do a dance of forget the Bluetooth device, open the app, connect to the Bluetooth device, pray that it connects, then go back to the app and hope that it actually recognizes the scanner. Now they’ve added a new failure point so that when you finally get the random order of connection steps to take, there’s about a 75% chance it’ll think the “vehicle is in motion or has moved” and force you to start all over again. I wish I still had my receipt because this thing is a pile of junk. Please remove the motion error to give us a fighting chance of getting it connected. Once it is connected, it works great. I’ll give them that.

This update made the UScan device unusable. How you going to view live scan when you can’t open the app while the car is moving! Ridiculous. This is a $100 product that has been reduced to a paperweight. Lucky for me I can’t return because I’ve had this for 6 months...
upate made app inoperable

before the update product worked flawkess for my needs. now i cannot operate app. windiw pooup tells me im in a moving car when im not. then it tells me to reconnect blah blah blah the reconnect bluetooth which is connected. they took an okay product and made it junk. i wont be buying future products. ill look to another application. thanks for nothing
