Doesn't help excited lain dash symbols at all

Brainvat

Maybe my expectations for this app are too high. I paid $7.99 for the in-app upgrade for "this vehicle" (a 2015 VW Beetle) in order to get a green checkbox that says all sensors are fine. Yet my dash has a light that shows a problem with one of my tires. I have also checked the tire pressure and feel all tires are fine yet this app won't even let me reset the dash light. All in with the device costing $80 and the app another $8, I still don't know anything more about my car than what flipping through the owners manual or google would have told me. That's an expensive lesson. Makes me very frustrated.

It's fair. Keep your expectations realistic

It's a pocket, on the go, code reader, with basic data stream. Don't expect this thing to do what a several thousand dollar scanner can do. With having owned thousands of dollars worth of scan tools myself, including a Solus Pro, an Encore, Pegisys, SnapOn Brick (MT2500), a Tech 2 and many, many others, this thing works great for "emergency diagnostics". I get to pull ENGINE CODES ONLY at Church, and family/friends houses and other various places. I read another review where the buyer was disappointed it wouldn't read TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems). Engine data only. On 1996-newer (including CAN) you can check codes, basic datastream, and I/M monitors (inspection/maintenance) (which is what we use in major cities in Texas for OBDII [1996-newer] state inspection stickers).

There are better

Having used this and a few others I settled on the bluedriver app and hardware by lemur. For me it was the easiest plug and play and the most versatile app. This app works too just not as well.

Please

I3G

Make it for the iPad.

Should be called U-Scam!

This app/product worked great at first. I do a lot of minor work & repairs on family and friends cars but this last update (4/28/15) is a scam. Now in order to clear codes out (after I fixed a problem) they want you to purchase the powertrain for $16. After spending $80 on this product... This is not right! There was no reason to do this. Guess I'll be looking for another more reliable product from a company that hopefully doesn't scan their customers.

So the only app update I get is saying that your giving me something I already paid ALOT for?

Latest version is total fail

Previous version worked well on my 2010 Prius and 2013 Cmax. Recent update is buggy, won't run on iPad. Loads but dies, no active touch points. Seems like Actron still sells this product, but gave up on adding support for vehicles made after 2013. Don't buy the hardware, cause the app is now useless.

Piece of junk! Useless!! Wasted of money!

Asido2

Bought mine on eBay brand new and so excited to used this but I am surprise that this is piece of junk I am working as Toyota automotive technician been using different scanner but also the app is so hard to use

In app purchases not working

I was given the hardware as a gift. I installed the app, paid the additional cost for all the in-app purchase add-ons. Then when it came time to use it, it said that the add-one weren't actually there after I paid tons of money for them. I have sent emails to Actron customer support and they have told me they are working on a fix for the issue but it's been months. This is useless to me without the add-ons which I paid for.
