Horrible!!

Nito2k

I bought this a few months ago and it was the greatest device for quick diagnosis. Very useful. HOWEVER, since the new update the device is just a paper weight, even when you follow the instructions on how to update it. It just won’t connect anymore. I’m a little bitter since I spent the money on the updates and the original purchase price.

Definitely does not do what the packaging claims it will do. It was difficult to even find the app in App Store. It loaded alright, then off to the cluster football of actually making the device sync and start reading codes! Well I bought it to see real time data, I have a cheap scanner to simply read codes. I already know what codes to expect! The clunky app acts like a crappy app. It only gives a two screens of information. No real time data, even when stationary. But you can’t move the vehicle while testing. Bust. That’s why I bought it. The display and the packaging made it sound like I could... Will return tomorrow for refund...

Useless after update

After the update, UScan will not pair. Always says vehicle is in motion, or out of range. Feel scammed!!!

Questions??

Kairi C.

Not all of the features of the app are unlocked and I was trying to find where to purchase it if anything (code connect for all vehicles). If there is no shopping cart what am I supposed to do?

Cool unless your car is broke

Cool app for scan tool unless you’ve got any kind of code that activates your VSA. Stupid tool thinks my car is moving so it won’t connect to vehicle! Total waste of $100 unless you have a working vehicle & you’d just like to verify that everything is ok! FYI the code that caused the VSA to be activated was just a P0300 random misfire.

Forced obsolescence

This device was just bricked. It would not let me use it without firmware update and now it won’t pair. Nice job.

Works Great

I had no trouble with the device the app or the upgrades. I guess I just know how to work it.

Does not support fiat

Makoziiiiiii

Was told the device supports fiat. It does not have that vehicle. However, I was able to generate a generic code and cleared the engine light.

Disabled when vehicle is moving? Refund please!

While I’ve always had problems with this device consistently connecting to and staying connected during use, it has provided a satisfactory level of functionality, despite this annoying tendency. I should add that other Bluetooth devices in the same price range, do not experience similar connection issues. Once you’re connected the first time, every time thereafter is automatic, with few exceptions. This is the way it should work. I was forced by the app to upgrade the firmware and software, to the latest version. Connection issues and sudden dropped connections, have gotten MUCH worse and have made it extremely difficult to use. It seems to have difficulty connecting and drops the connection if the wind blows the wrong direction. The latest app update disables the unit while driving?! Why? Is it considered a distraction. What’s the difference between this and periodically looking at a navigation program while driving. The combination of worsening connection issues and the new disabled while driving feature makes this unusable. I invested close to $100 on the unit originally AND at least $30 in upgrades, specifically for real-time data while driving. Can I have my money back please...if nothing else, for the additional functions that I paid for and can no longer use? I was an advocate of this product. I told all of my coworkers who are also mechanics, to buy this product, despite some minor connection issues. I will be sure to tell people that this is no longer the product of choice and to avoid at all cost. That is, unless you can fix the connection issues, reenable live driving data and/or REFUND MY MONEY. Disappointed!

Owned one for multiple years maybe since 2012/13

Ok this thing was pretty good for on the fly diagnostic with easy read out on your phone. It didn’t read all the signals but it read enough for you to be able to figure out some extra things, especially with the live tools. Would have given this app a solid 4 stars. That’s before the last update tho. WHAT IN THE WORLD WERE YOU THINKING REMOVING LIVE VIEW WHILE DRIVING?!?!?!?! Features I had to pay for are now free, I get no refund for that. Can’t track any settings while driving, so it’s bad if your problem only happens at load. Waste, I would not buy again.
