Tools works great, but bad revenue model

This tool works great, all OBD 2 and PCode display is working , clears the check engine light, means it clears the DTC codes.Shows PCode description and live data like tire pressure oil temperature.can save multiple vehicle profiles based on the VIN number, make and model. but we have to purchase each features one by one , which might total the cost of ownership to 150$. For that amount you can get a real hardware device with display. Bad revenue model , good tool though.one star less for the bad revenue model that we need to purchase each feature one by one. They never mention in the OBD tool cover box that we have purchase additional features , which is bad by the way.You should mention in your box that "Additional app purchased required to use more features of the tool in your iPhone" Other than this , this tool absolutely works technically and gives results perfectly.Go for it keeping in mind that you have to purchase additional features.

Anyone who left a positive review either works for this company or has no idea about what else is out there... Save yourself some time and return the product before you download this app. 1. The app is glitchy and limited in a way I that I can't comprehend for an app that costs money. 2. It costs you more money for every level of upgrade... Another $100, that is if you can get through the glitchy crap to get the upgrade to even work. 3. Tech support for this app is a guy named Steve who was home on his couch watching the game, 3/4 of his way through a case of beer and about as useful as the app itself... I said the app is glitchy, he replied, I know... That's it... And referred me to the App Store to get the glitch resolved... It's not their app so they won't touch it... 4. Only gives limited and common indicators... Not all alarms will show up in diagnostics. 5. Doesn't do half of what it says it will do.... Here are a dozen better alternatives out there... Go find one and pass this one over... Seriously. I drive a lot and wanted to have an on board computer to quickly diagnose issues with my car on the fly, but this one will give me nightmares for a long time...

2 of 3 in app upgrades wouldn't load. Called Actron and they said to call Apple. Called Apple and got my money back. Does Actron really think these negative user reviews are without merit? Unbelievable!

Thieves. Big bucks charged in-app for any real functionality. Waste of money. Poor user interface. Live data presented in poor format, disconnects often, useless. Bluetooth implementation is buggy. Often bluetooth says connected, but u-scan says 'unable to read...'. And a 'normal scan tool' does NOT cost hundreds of dollars... Love all the great reviews by Actron employees. These guys are just greedy...

I bought this on a whim. Device paired easily via bluetooth on my Iphone 5. It will un-pair if you switch apps or if you lock the device. Acquiring sensor data again takes a minute or two. This is quite annoying. Setup was easy using the auto-detected VIN. "Power train enhanced data" gives you a large amount of sensor outputs, too many to view or interpret at one time. The parameters for my vehicle (WRX) seem to be scaled incorrectly as my MAP will read 500kpa at 15psi. Some PID's have cryptic titles and I have no idea what value it is related to. My biggest complaint is the lack of useful data logging of any type. The screen capture or freeze feature is quite frankly dangerous if you want to capture sensor data while actually driving. To be competitive this app NEEDS basic logging features: selectable PIDs to log, simple playback, export to .csv or similar so the data can be acquired during a normal driving cycle and interpreted afterward. Screenshot/Upload to Facebook (Really Actron!?) is merely useless data sitting at a stop and again dangerous if attempted while driving. This is the only option unless a MIL is thrown. Vehicles with engine/trans. issues don't always simply throw a DTC. It doesn't seem as though Actron is actively improving this app and the U-Scan module IS NOT supported by any other app developers. It's a shame because the hardware is obviously capable of so much more. I'll be returning mine to Advance Autoparts, eating the cost of the in-app purchases and purchasing something much much cheaper that is far more useful. I'm quite disappointed Actron.

Good app but the one complaint I have with it, is that you cannot log. I love the real time data but please give us a logging feature!! Specifically timing advance/knock and iat/iat2's!!!

This app is great for the do it your selfer, or the professional. Only recommendation to the mfger, they need to make an iPad version.

Very happy with the product. Only buy what you need and can do anything the expensive scanners do for 5x the money... Love it
