Substandard Customer Service

I’ve had this thing for years and it has a bug in the software. When I attempt to remedy with customer service, they won’t work with me because my son registered it originally back in the day with his email. Instead of helping me get it resolved, they claim there’s nothing that can be done. I own the house, my son is long gone and every time I use this app, it gives me errors that require customer service to remedy. See sentence one. Round and round we go.

This app has worked pretty well until this last update. Now I get a log in error every time I try to use it. Was able to login from my computer so I know my info is correct. It just doesn’t work anymore.

We bought one because we were going to be away for a few months I was able to make sure the heat was functioning and adjust according to how cold it was outside.

Many people (like me) do home automation. This app is the only way to interact with my devices. The marketplace is not helpful and $$$ to get access to API.

So much better than other apps for wifi controlled devices. I wish the design was better looking but i don’t care as long as it work well! I would love the app to integrate into the apple home environment. Siri can’t connect to it.

I had problems installing the first unit as I could not find the C wire. After a call to tech support and telling him that the voltage between the C wire and red was only 22.8 volts AC, he thought I might be working on the wrong wires from the furnace (we have two). He was right and after connecting the C wire correctly on the furnace it worked wonderfully. I then connected it to the internet and subsequently Google home and it all works great.

My son in law and I installed the thermostat wi-Fi system eight years ago and have been very happy with its it’s performance. It was placed in our year round cabin in northern Wisconsin. We have recommended the system to friends who also own year round homes in northern latitudes. Thanks for the upgrades as well!
