The app needs a major makeover for year 2022

I’m giving this 2 stars. 1 star because it works. A second star because when it was made in 2001 it must’ve been such cutting edge technology! Losing 3 stars for this: This app looks like it was made in 2001 and hasn’t been touched since. Hey guys, it’s 2022 and you’ve completely neglected updating it! Just because I bought the more affordable thermostat shouldn’t mean your customers get a lower quality app to go with it. Please please please give this app a makeover. Make it look nice and make it easy to use! My upstairs and downstairs are options first (great), then I’d like to click on 1 of those and turn it on/off AND set temp all on one page… why do I have to tap systems just to turn it from heat/cool/off? Tapping all over the place isn’t best use of your customer’s time. Here’s what you need to work on: 1. Update appearance 2. Make it simple to use

This is a great app. We travel a lot and it is wonderful to be able to check on our place and make adjustments when desired.

Nest is better

We had the Nest thermostat before but when we updated our furnace the installer wasn’t sure if Nest was compatible so he installed this. It easy to use however the nest allowed for more settings. This unit asks if you are home all day, if you say yes, the thermostat only gives you a choice of 2 options to adjust temperature, if you say No it gives you 4 options to set temperature at. The Nest gives you unlimited options to set temperature at more than 4 times a day

App does not work

App does not work. Worked until I got new router now it says Wi-Fi not connected but it is. This seems to be common problem but hasn’t been fixed. The whole point was robe able to change temperature away from home. But that isn’t working now. This needs to be fixed now. And I’m not interested in being on hold are talking to someone over seas who has no idea how to solve the problem. I need help now it’s been a whole year.

We tried the Nest and did not compare. I gave this control at two locations and am very pleased. Great product!

App Sticks on View Schedule

Paid $170 for this unit, hooked it up, and tried to use the app. App worked for a bit but then for some reason trying to view the programmed schedule fails. It keep saying the schedule will load in 10 minutes. It’s been 4 hours. It’s unfortunate that Honeywell would allow this in such a competitive environment. To unstick the schedule, I had to reset the thermostat by pulling it from the wall and then place it back.

I like being able to see the temperature and adjust the thermostat when I’m away. But I’d like to know the furnace usage data such as hours per day used, hours of backup/supplemental heat, etc.
