Aggressively average app. When I mess up when trying to access the crossword archives, the back button refers me to the original page. Afterward, I must then renavigate to the page I was initially looking for. It is rather tedious. Plus the crossword puzzles are kinda hard. And I have a small brain. Loved reading this app every day until 2 days ago….nothing will load! I’ve checked settings and found nothing amiss. The malfunction of the app means I need to cancel!

See subject line. After so so many years, the Gray Lady’s app is still trash. This is a disservice to the paper of record’s reporting team. Really, guys— just rebuild it. It’ll take like three or four hours. I’ll buy the pizza.
No date selection?

Why would a newspaper not be selectable by date on the app? It is on the desktop version…. Worthless without it

Past month or so the app is constantly hanging. Gets stuck on main screen with nyt logo at top and no content on the main body. Force killing app and re-opening after reading each article. Occasionally that doesn’t work and have to reboot the phone in order to use nyt app. All other apps working perfectly so it’s not the phone.

I been reading The NY Times since the 80’s and for the last 2 days the app Stopped working I open it and it freezes, Can’t read articles or navigate sections Nothing, the website works fine though. What gives

Still no dark mode in 2022, are you guys kidding??? LOL Based on the multiple reviews complaining about this laughable omission, I assume the app developers simply don’t read them.

The app prioritizes ads over content. The interface is jumpy. Articles aren’t cached properly. Good luck reading the news while on the subway.
