App could be much better

Still one of the best newspapers in the world. But how I wished their IT people who design the App were half as good. It’s been buggy or constructed sloppily for years.
Buggy with rendering issues

Many pop up warnings/errors/alerts and UI rendering issues such automatic scrolling back to the top. No dark mode. Way too many “Something went wrong” errors. Ads causing sudden jumps. Slow performance.
Please put the back arrow back!!

I love you, NY Times app, but the back button belongs in the upper left corner, not the bottom!!! Please, please, please put it back! Thanks!

This app will rob your phone of battery. It's buggy, has ko dark mode, and doesn't obey its own setting for "Never Auto-play Video". Use the web.

I deeply appreciate the news team and opinion writers. However, the app regularly crashes! Requiring deleting and reloading. It is much slower and less dependable than WaPo or LATimes.
Why no digital print edition

I love the Times. The reporting is hands down the best in the country. But why am I not able to see a digital replica of todays paper in the app? Until this feature is in the app I will (sadly) unsubscribe to the times and read WaPo instead. The instant digital replica of todays paper comes I will renew my subscription. PLEASE add this feature!!!!

The app has become useless: 1. I have to force quit the app if I want articles to load 2. The Covid-19 page reloads every 30 seconds for some reason 3. The app takes so long to load It doesn’t work properly! What is going on, I pay for a subscription.
