I read news in bed and you’re the only app without dark mode. Love everything else though.

I love the NYT app and the Times is my #1 news source, but the iPad app frequently (especially over the last month) freezes when I open it and I can’t scroll down on the page or open any articles. My husband has had this problem as well, so I know it’s not my device. I’ve tried closing it and reopening it, numerous times - sometimes that works, but many times it doesn’t. Very frustrating - hope this bug can be fixed as otherwise it’s fantastic!

Everyone else has already said it. Also Front page doesn’t reload without me closing and reopening app. Ads shift text while reading. App is bloated and uses too much power. Sections just get worse and worse with each revision. All articles should be able to be saved for later without opening. Search function is horrible. And that’s just for starters in an app that I pay a monthly subscription for!

No dark mode makes this app useless to many at night when many of us enjoy reading.

if you are browsing and clicking links in the app, good luck getting back to the home page. Instead of a convenient logo you tap on to go back, you get nothing. So if you open the app and want to see new headlines, you will find yourself tapping the Back button a lot just to get back to the front page.

Over and over, before I can finish one article on my iPad it crashes, even with latest iOS update. Make me want to cancel my subscription.

Please add “dark mode” options to the app as soon as possible. The white background is blinding in a dark room, which happens even more now in these dark winter months. The NYT cooking app has a dark background so I know you can do it! There is still a page refresh problem—any auto update of news items causes the page to autonomously scroll up or down without my input. This isn’t as bad as it used to be but still happens. Other than that, pretty fantastic app on devices!!!

The NYT is great, but this app leaves a lot to be desired. There’s no search, navigation is confusing, even with recent patches it’s buggy. I expect more from the Times.

With latest update my NYTimes app was constantly crashing. I decided to delete the app then download fresh app from App Store. Everything is now good, no more crashing. If you are having similar problems try this, see if it works for you too.
