best podcast app

mingwo1

the only podcast app i trust is this one. simple and easy to use, minimal in design and perfect for all my podcast needs.

Annoying

Jsudyd

Got this app to listen to the rest of true crime garages episodes and see if I liked it more that apple podcast... half the time it won’t load what I was previously listening to, and when it does, it’s not in the spot I last stopped, when I try to fast forward to it, the whole bar that has the play and fast forward disappears. Really crappy ??

Shockingly poor design

Good guests, annoying listen

The content on Stitcher can be excellent (e.g. How Did This Get Made) or unlistenable (e.g. 85% of the others). But the format, layout, navigation, features, intuitiveness, accessibility and ease of use are so bad it defies belief. Restaurant websites from 2002 has a better design. If you’re listening to new podcasts as they publish, I guess it’s okay. If you’re listening deep in an archive (which is the main reason to subscribe - all the good programs are already free on other platforms), it’s brutal to find a specific program or browsing to find something that fits your mood. Two stars only because “HDTGM” is phenomenal.

Does not work well with car play

Slomly

Using directly on phone works ok but with CarPlay I’ve had many problems and find it unreliable.

I hate this app

wheez04444

It is constantly failing. I can’t turn off the stupid mobile thing that comes on in the car. Then I’m having to reboot it thirty times to get it to play for 5 minutes just to have it fail again.

Good car mode

Seeemef

I listen almost exclusively in my car, and I like the car mode. My recommendations to the developers: * Do not let the device sleep while in car mode. * Add a “Play Last” function, to go along with “Play Next”. This will make it easier to construct playlists. Thank you!

Wow this app is rough

Hdkdokscdhdhd

I switched to this app because I wanted the Earwolf content but compared to Instacast and Apple pod app this app is clunky and doesn’t make sense. The “play next” function really needs work. Please update the UI, the content is totally work paying for but the app is not great.

Frustrated

bethi143

I just downloaded stitcher because some of the podcasts I like have older episodes on here. I have spent 2 days trying to listen to 1 episode. It stops playing about every minute. I haven’t made it more than maybe 2 minutes of continuous play. I should just hit play.... unless I’m doing something terribly wrong here. I’m disappointed and very frustrated.

no.

Erin Lisowski

- confusing interface with wayyyy too many options for how to access your podcasts and episodes - too much unnecessary content being plugged; i just want to see what my favorites or new eps are, and can browse elsewhere if i choose - bizarre that you can’t remove a download from an episode “currently playing” ... which means you literally have to start a new one to take this action - most insanely, i can’t open the app if i have no service, even if i have previously downloaded episodes. which means i can’t use the app if i’m on the subway and hadn’t opened the app prior to going underground. seriously? would absolutely never use this if the service didn’t have two podcasts i listen to that aren’t available elsewhere.

Why speed up the audio?

Jayvonne

I was dedicated until you sped up the audio on my favorite podcasts to the point of destruction. I was forced to go to ITunes for my news. They answered me and they were right. All is well and I'm back with Stitcher. Thank you, developers.
