Destroying their own creation

Quidhala

Stop messing with the app. You are ruining it. Every update is worse than the last. Interface is useless now.

Fix the broken, core functionality first.

laxattackxxx

Show me episode numbers. Show me the guests in the episodes. Let me play a show from oldest to newest. “My front page” is pointless. I’ve never found any of the content there interesting or relevant to me or my listening habits. The search function is abysmal at best. Make sure the episodes are in chronological/episode number order. Get rid of the “resuming episode” voice. And then tell someone to fix the web interface. The best part of the iOS app is that it’s 10x better than the web version. There’s so many pointless features being added (Facebook/share with friends?) when there is so much opportunity to fix the core functionality of the app. You guys have access to the best premium content, but the app is frustrating to use. For what it’s worth, recent updates have been a couple steps in the right direction. I don’t doubt any of the developer’s capabilities. You have a nice looking, functional app. But I question the direction of the features that management (or whomever) is driving.

Keeps Getting Worse

Pirate Bird

Confusing and basically unusable. Recent change means newest episodes aren't even displayed. Just terrible.

CarPlay does not work

ruiNruiN

Cannot get anything to play on CarPlay. Completely useless.

Best app for podcasts and live radio - Updated 04/18

SongDuck™

Updated April 2018: Stitcher is the most convenient way to listen to audio podcasts and live radio. I've been using stitcher over 6 years. I started with a Free subscription. Several years ago I upgraded to Premium subscription, which eliminates ads between podcasts and allows you to access Premium content. I think it’s well worth it. However, you can subscribe for free, if you don’t mind commercials, or want to try Stitcher. Stitcher is easy to use. It enables you to place favorite podcasts into playlists, order them as you like, and then play a playlist’s stitched podcasts straight through from beginning to end. You can download via wifi to listen to later. Another nice feature is selecting one playlist to play immediately upon opening the app, which I use for my news playlist. This is my go to podcast app. I use it every day. Highly recommend.

A+ content, F- app

degreekelvin

The content here is great. Premium access is totally worth it. The problem is that this app rarely works like it is supposed to. Episodes don’t show up when they are out half the time. Shows sometimes won’t show up in a search even if you use their exact name. Just a very clunky app that needs a lot of work. Again, the content is great. I just wish I wasn’t forced to migrate from the howl app (which works and has extra features such as recording photos and actor bios) to this app which barely works as intended. I’ll change my review if the app improves.

My favorite podcast app

TammyTodd

Very easy to use. If it’s not on stitcher, I’m Probably not listening to it.

Terrible interface

Zepfit

Probably one of the worst apps ever used. Everything is so confusing, and hard to understand why? Only used to get commercial free access to how did this get made. I wish it was worth it. Terrible app, don't pay for it. If I could give it less starts I would.

Awful support for those wishing to conserve wireless data

Arkady Bogdanov

I assume that I am not alone in my desire to keep my wireless data use low for podcasts that I should be able to download on WiFi and listen later. How does this work in the Stitcher App? Well, the safest thing to do is to tell your phone not to let stitcher use wireless data, and I did this for many months. The problem is, if you use it in offline mode Stitcher almost always forgets where you were in your podcast episodes that you listened to in offline mode. Super annoying. So then, silly me, I decide to trust Stitcher. After all, they have a button under settings that restricts downloads to when you’re on WiFi. If I let the app use wireless data, maybe it will actually remember where I am in the episodes I’m listening to, but won’t eat up my data? But no! For some reason when Stitcher reaches an undownloaded episode in my playlist while I’m not on WiFi, it begins downloading it! Doesn’t even ask for permission. And yes, the button in settings still says that it should only download using WiFi. What gives Stitcher? Why can you not record episode progress client-side? It’s like 2 bytes of information per episode. And why do you allow the App to download whole episodes when your own settings explicitly forbid it?

Episodes aren’t updating

goldlyon

I’ve noticed that new episodes aren’t being displayed or downloaded as they’re available in the episodes view of my playlists. It seems to be an issue mainly with Earwolf and Stitcher Premium shows, which seems odd. I can access the new episodes by checking the episode list of each show and downloading it from there, but have to remember to do so before I leave the house and lose my WiFi connection. Love the app otherwise and will update my rating after the issue is resolved. Thank you!
