Great game with active community and great communication from the developers. The “Treknis” of it is awesome!

Just needs one thing.....

Game is fun so far, it’s just missing support for the iPad Pro 11” resolution. So far no replies on twitter and no updates on their forums. Would be nice if we could get an update on when we will have that!!

Beyond awful. Don’t even bother. This game is flaming garbage.

Pay for nostalgia
Ninjaorasleep

This game is a not so subtly disguised video gambling game. All games want to make money. That’s the goal. But because Star Trek has always had this undercurrent of altruism, it’s difficult to associate it with something set out to capitalize on dopaminergic responses. As with Pokémon, this game tickles the part of the brain that wants to gamble and collect them all and keep playing. At least with Pokémon Go they give you options to earn some virtual money and the game is still enjoyable without having to pay. Sure, some people say they can play without paying. That takes patience - like the willingness to sift through the discount CDs in a dollar store. And it’s not fun. You are looking at graphics of fake parts. They don’t even move! A game for a console costs between $10-$60. People spend a LOT more on this game in order to have play time and in order to succeed at competitions. You will win by not winning. People who “win” at this game have spent a lot of money. What will it mean in the greater scheme of a person’s life when their epitaph reads something like, “They ranked #1 in the Gauntlet in Star Trek Timelines”?

Would love to play, the game freezes at the Klingon battle.

Kudos to the Disruptor Beam developers that have captured the hearts and minds (and wallets) of anyone that might have clue about any of the numerous years that Star Trek has been in existence. Want a ten percent chance on landing a five star character (read this as one of five stars - you have to earn or pay for the other four stars) you can buy the chance of it for a measly one hundred and twenty dollars ($$$). Now don’t get me wrong. There’s plenty of low level play time for free. But you’re fodder for the wallet holders. Exist at the bare minimum of a few dollars a month if you are willing to sign in daily for your hundred crystals. Agreed DB is very good at repackaging the same events with different labels, they pride themselves on reuse code. Obviously it’s a cash cow for them - even with the money they have to pay the franchises. But then isn’t that what apps are suppose to do?

Don’t...
TiredOfThis...

At a certain point, this app just stops working. And good luck, contacting them about support issues. One hoop after another to jump through, sign up for this, or log in to that, just to yell someone this app is not working the way it’s supposed to. Oh yea, active players should be able to build up vip points and/or dilithium without actually spending real $. Don’t download this app. It’s nothing but trouble.

Great Little Star Trek game

I love this game for what it is. Not much “rpg” or interactive elements, similar to a casual game you play a little at a time. The point of this review was to state that this is NOT necessarily pay-to-win. I have no idea what every else is talking about when they say you need to pay to advance or whatever. Do some daily tasks (using “warp” helps, it’s like auto-fighting challenges for you) and cadet challenges are key. It might take some time, but it’s pretty quick if you play a little each day. Make sure to join a guild, and you’ll get extra perks (energy and certain currencies). There are spins you can do daily for nice things, and an extra one for watching an ad. If you can’t find an item you need to level someone up, you can replicate it using items, which may be tricky depending on what you have. I like using shuttle “boosts” cause they are free, I get a lot and never use them. I have some great characters to boot. The energy can be tricky, but come back every so often for free energy, occasionally watch an ad to double it, and join a guild for more free energy. If you save up your currency, take you time and just enjoy it for what it is, I think you’ll be surprised how enjoyable it can be. It’s not for everyone. So no, you DO NOT need to pay a cent to progress. I have some high level characters, a few immortalized, lots of energy and am having a lot of fun. Plus, they update the game with small events all the time. The only downside is if you want some ultra-favorite characters, they are usually for players who pay-to-win. Personally, I enjoy the slight randomness I get as a free player, so when a character I like does come into my possession, I am extra-delighted. That’s happened a few times, too. Most of all, take your time. No need to rush. It IS a casual game, let me restate that. No casual-energy game is really meant for hardcore, multiple hour play throughs. That’s just the name of the game, so to speak. Understand that and you’ll be fine.

Can You Fix the Time of the Warnings?
Dark_Quest_1922

I love this game so much I just got it and I’m on character level 8 and just unlocked voyages and it’s the best. Just one thing I’m pretty sure another comment said the same thing but the warning signs for voyages goes bye way too fast so can you slow it down so people can read it? (That’s way it’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ not ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sorry). Even if you don’t fix it I will definitely always play this game !!!

A great Star Trek game, but not always a good game

They have a survey out at the moment. This was my feedback. Improve the odds of getting rarer items in scans. Add another way to get Honor. Add a way to get older paid characters at random for free. Access old character packs. Essentially, make the game noticably more balanced for those of us who cannot afford to spend actual money, but want to be an equal pay of this community. Inclusion and equality for all. The main idea Star Trek had promoted from the start.
