Enough is enough

This game is ok but not a true role play. The biggest problem I have with this game is that all the captains and Crews of the Federation and the villains are not represented in the game. Also some of the characters are morphed into ridiculous multiple avatars without assuring that ALL of the bridge crews and major characters of ALL the Enterprises are represented in the game. There are also some one time characters that are represented that shouldn’t be represented at all. Come on creators, let’s get this right!

iPhone X needs more testing

Scottie_2_Hottie

**Added 5/22/18 added one star because they are fixing the iPhone X display bugs, there are still some issues, but it’s been much improved, still waiting for more crew slots, so I can buy packs again** Support tickets are broken in app, because of the submit button being rendered off screen. Also, when crafting it is impossible to close out of chron refill screen without spending dilithium or force closing the app, as the “X” renders off screen about half the time. Many elements just seem enlarged rather than optimized for the iPhone X, and sometimes this causes game breaking bugs. I have submitted a ticket through the website, because it is broken on iPhone X. I am also removing one star because of the way crew slots are implemented. I have probably spent $300-$400 on this game, and I have never have enough crew slots. One of the VIP levels (I’m almost 15 the max) should unlock unlimited crew slots). This game wants me to spend 3000 dilithium for 5 measly slots. That’s $30 for 5 slots. (A warning to new players). This would also be in the interest of the developers, I used to buy a lot of crew packs, but now I have to airlock super rares, or legendaries to make room for new crew. I would buy many more crew packs, if I had somewhere to put them. It is impossible to immortalize crew members as fast as new ones as released. Please consider revising the crew slot limit. Thanks.

Welcome To the 24th Century

I have been a Star Trek fan for over 30 years, and have often thought how great it would be to live in the Trek universe. This may be the closest thing to being there. You can travel to well and not-so-well planets, using ships from all of the series. There are now over 500 playable characters that can be used on missions. You get to choose which characters to keep, upgrade and use. You can also participate in PvP ship battles, using the ship and crew of your choice. Manned shuttle missions are another authentic feeling feature of this game. The game is always evolving, with great bonuses, regular events, and opportunities to mingle with other Starship Captains. The support staff is very professional and accommodating. If you want a great interactive Star Trek experience, you must try this addictive app.

I have been watching Star Trek since I was a little kid and I have to say that this is a “Good Game” and Day by Day its becoming a Great Game!” Keep it Up!

Would be so much more convenient and “Trek.” Also, can we get some LCARS?

Bugs are just the start of it

I’m an Original Trekkie. That means old. Ok, so two major issues here. I think the premise is interesting, and it’s interesting to casually play through. But this game relies heavily on Minecraft-style building, which means grinding and farming for components, which means using chronitons (a finite resource that governs how many missions you can perform to get those components) which means spending money if you don’t want to wait for them to regenerate. First major issue is that after crafting something, the game will sometimes (and this happens to me at least once a session) lose the crafted item and I must begin again. Yeah. Annoying if the game is free, but intolerable in a game that ALWAYS has a hand out for more money. Real money. This bug is compounded by finishing missions or events where I am rewarded with a component or schematics or whatever which somehow...disappear. Again, for a game that solicits money (and the amount is significant -$10 to $100) this is bad. BUT, that is a technical issue. Worse is the very abbreviated storyline. There are, near as I can tell, 11 episodes of 6-10 missions each. And that is it. Get to the end and nothing resolved, the storyline doesn’t advance, and you are left replaying old missions to get components (which disappear disturbingly often) to make things (which also disappear disturbingly often) for no real in game reason other than to do it. The game itself doesn’t offer much in the way of choice or anything either - it’s like it’s on rails. Gauntlet - don’t waste your time. Faction missions - ditto. Cadet Challenges - lose the stupid SJW themes in there - I’m here to play, not be preached at about “equality in Starfleet.” Events - treated as a money making vehicle, with plots that don’t tie into anything in the larger game. In sum - don’t waste money on this game. There is little value here. As I said, it’s interesting as a casual (read: free) diversion, but I really balk at paying premium prices in game for sub-par storylines and game design. This game exists to cynically vacuum as many dollars as possible out of your wallet. Resist. It is NOT futile.

Fun for A Fan

I really enjoy this game. It is so fun to think about my favorite Trek characters interacting. There is also a fair amount to do with different activities (missions, ship battles, upgrade characters, duels). The reason for 4 stars: you basically have to spend money to advance in his game. It isn’t just that the progress is slower (which is fine) but you hit a barrier with the number of characters you can own. To me, that is half the fun and unlimited in other games. The second reason is the extreme repetition of some levels to advance. I played the Lursa lvl 30 times? 40? All in all, fun but I might be done after 8 mo of playing. LLP ?

Predatory and Time Consuming - Don’t Do It!

I’ve played this game for over 18 months and have finally decided, even though I love the Star Trek franchise, I can no longer tolerate how this game has evolved into such heights of greed and has abused the good name of a beloved franchise. It’s very time consuming with 4 day events that to score any of the top prizes in you either are sleep deprived or spending boat loads of cash. They introduce new characters at a rate that you can never hope to gain a collection unless you want to spend boat loads of cash. To succeed in the game it really is imperative to be a part of a fleet and there is at a minimum an hour to 90 mins worth of tasks daily. Once you do get to the 275 - 300 mark on characters, the event packs are greatly diminished as they have for months on end had the same 2 Star, 3 Star and 4 Star characters over and over again. All of these criticisms have been brought (with charts and data) to the attention of DB - the developers - but they are just laughing all the way to the bank. I good go on and on but there are pages and pages on the forums discussing all of this.

Good for a Star Trek fix. Not exactly a fun game.
