I LOVE Spot Hero! When I'm going downtown, it's great to know exactly where to park and that I'm getting the best price in the area. The pics showing the entrances and multiple points of entry and the direction of the streets is especially helpful when there are multiple garages so close together. Being able to pay with Apple Pay and to enter and exit by scanning the QR code on my phone is really cool!
So frustrating.... zero stars.

1. Try to make a reservation, Apps keep crashing does not show reservation. Get credit card bill now have to dispute incorrect charge, wasting even more time. 2. Get an email, says refer a friend. Go through process, error when friend makes a reservation. Two calls to a super friendly customer service agent Nic who cannot offer any help. Friend cannot make reservation with discount code. So makes it anyway. Bait and switch! To add insult get An email today saying “ have not yet earned any rewards” no kidding, your app does not work and customer has no help to offer! 3. Try to use tonight. Police barriers surrounding garage, spend 20 min in traffic to find out cannot enter garage. Police tell barriers up for Chinese New Year. Why does spot hero let you book a garage you can not get to. Now I have to waste more time and cont my credit card again since no way to cancel. My experience has been as pleasurable as getting a cavity fixed. Zero stars!

Two thing: I emailed a couple parking app companies with a few questions. I only heard back from Spothero. Very nice. Secondly, re the negative review from the guy who got charged extra for coming early into the lot, a little advice: don’t enter early, and don’t complain when the error is yours. I expect the company to live up to my rating. If not it can always be changed.

They sold me a parking spot in a garage, telling me to show the attendant the app. There was no attendant. I had to pay again, and their support never responded. They continue to send me spam emails though, so that’s nice.
Easy to use (specially if you are new to Chicago)

Went to Chicago downtown to get some paperwork done. I’m from Minnesota so I went blind folded. This app made my trip to Chicago a brease (with respect to the parking part of it) without counting the traffic of course.

Just started using the app and had an issue with payment. I called their customer service and Yun did a great job resolving the issue. I look forward to using the app more in the future!
Marginal and getting worse by the day

Used to work pretty good but now crapped up with personal spaces, people selling a spot in their alley. Total joke. Often can't find spots cause they r not truly parking but some made up spot in someone's alley. Stick to the real parking lots and it works OK.

Tried to book a great deal, put in all my info in, clicked submit and then it told me there was a problem and to call - already been on hold for almost 10 minute ?

I have used spot hero many times and have never encountered an error. Today I had a reservation for 5:30 and arrived at the garage around 5:18. I specifically told the employee I had booked my reservation through spot hero for 5:30, if it was ok to come in and would there be an extra charge he was very kind and say no to just pull up that it was almost 5:30 by the time I handed my key it was 5:30. I left with my daughter and arrived back around 8:20. I scanned my barcode and then was told to scan the parking ticket. Needless to say the young lady that was now in the front told me I had to pay an additional $19.00 for coming in a few mins earlier. Of course I told her that the man told me THAT THIS WAS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!! Who wants to pay $19 on top of the price already paid! I would have just waited the 12 minutes outside! It was clear she did not care and was no help at all! I am writing this because I am a hard working mother of 4 children that can not afford to pay $38.00 of parking hence the reason I used spot hero to try and save as much as I can. Spot hero should ensure employees at garages tell their customers that they will be charged if you enter a minute earlier than the time on their reservation. I am highly upset this has happened and I wish I would have not chosen this place. I won’t be parking my car at garages anytime soon or using the spot hero app. Best, Mayra
