Boot

Peytonlouis

Paid in advance instructions said just use license plate number didn’t need receipt yet when I got to lot very unprofessional not related to this app told me unless I produced a paper receipt even though I had receipt on phone he would boot my car and it would be 90$ and if I want to appeal an additional 30$ My money was refunded but that person would not had been there and the reason he was to get paid to take a boot off a car that also used this site and had proof on their phone that would not be accepted by the boot company

1st experience bad & good

Moelarrycurly

Reserved a spot. Got to the location, lot was full and the attendant had no clue about the app or reservations. Contacted customer support about a refund via email. Took a couple of days but much to there credit they did get back to me and working on the refund. Not sure if I am confident to reserve again, especially in downtown Philly but as far as finding locations when downtown, I will use as a reference. Also a plus that customer support did get back to me which I was not expecting which made me move my rating up from a lower rating.

This app is useless...

Dusterbean

This only works for the most expensive parking in the city, and actually costs more than if you just drive to the spot. It’s not worth it, and not at all helpful.

Fraud

HollyG23

I purchased a parking spot in downtown Chicago for New Year’s Eve. Upon arriving at the garage I was told that they were full, I couldn’t park there, and I should take up with Spot Hero. I emailed them twice saying that I expected a full refund, never hearing from them. Deleting the app, and never using them again!! Beware!!!!

Don’t bother/told 2 different things

Everything looked great. Reserved my spot days in advance. Got to my spot, however, and this company overbooked the lot. Not only for me — there was a company that had rented spots for its buses. They were overbooked also. So, I found another spot (right next door at half the price!), called Spot Hero and told them what happened. They were not surprised at all that the lot was overbooked. The lady I spoke to assured me they would refund my money, and cover the new spot for the inconvenience. Well, this is not the case. When I went to set up the refund, I was told something different. It’s possible that this is a rare occurrence, but I’m never using them again.

Cold weather makes the train commute unbearable

Mcosulli

Decided I am too delicate a soul for a train commute on a day where 0 degrees was the high. Dreading the potential rush hour and parking fees associated with driving downtown Chicago, not willing to lose fingers to frostbite, I turned to SpotHero and am so pleased. The scanning process once I got to the garage was a little confusing - kept trying to scan my phone and it was activating ApplePay. Took my ticket as normal and was instructed, insert the ticket upon departure and then scan the code to redeem. Somehow I even saved $2! Now that I understand how easy it is, was a little bummed not to have my car right outside of work today. I’ll certainly be more open to driving in over the train on longer days or when having my car after work would be handy. See myself checking SpotHero a lot in the future.

Park Wiz have better rates sorry.

JP Ecuador

I was disappointed that I didn’t even get a 10 dollar discount with Spot Hero and I have been booking since 11/20/17 with spot hero. I booked the first time today with Park Wiz and paid only 8 dollars at the 111 W Wacker drive garage, and by word of mouth. I was promotion spot hero and stopped when 3 people recommend park Wiz instead . Sorry . JVR

Over sells

needs a spot

Both times that I reserved, This app oversold ... I checked after I was refused entry due to being sold out and the same parking lot showed availability. Deceiving

Love it!

So easy to use and even easier to use for both personal and business

Don’t bother in NYC

Dmerojas

Unscrupulous parking lots/attendants don’t want to honor the paid reservation when you get there. Doesn’t matter how long you’ve had the reservation. Today was the third time in as many weeks that I’ve had this problem (today I used SpotHero, but the two other times it was Parkwhiz). Parkwhiz & SpotHero support were not able to help resolve the situation because they are just an intermediary.
