Why Not to use this company for pre-pay parking * Decided to use this company for an event I was attending * Well over a day in advance I reserved a spot * Day of event the facility would not honor the reservation saying the app oversold the spaces * Called what they claim is Hero service only to be told sorry a dozen times and no viable solution. * Ended up stranded and needing to scramble to find last minute parking. * Had to pay cash and double what the pre pay was * Missed about 1/3 of the event- the worst part. * Thanks Spot Loser. After I reject my charge in my credit card I will be deleting your app and making sure you delete my account. *There are plenty of other Pre Pay parking apps. Go check some of those out
Great for pre paying parking

I live in the DC area and when I need to drive into the city, this app is a necessity. I can put in where I am going , desired times and find parking in the area with varying prices. No more circling blocks hoping to find a spot or trying to find a parking lot which has a space. Prepay, show your reservation and you are in even if the lot says they are full. The customer service is great in case you have any problems so I highly recommend this app

App is intuitive and set up was easy enough from desktop experience. First time out i was charged 30% more than my reservation and had to pull out my CC at the exit gate. Reading another recent review i think it was because i arrived 10 mins earlier than my reservation. Trying again day 2 reserving 30min’s (smallest increment) earlier than I just arrived. We’ll see what happens tonight.

SpotHero has been a great tool since I started using it in January. A couple of times I had to cancel last minute. No problem. Once the private space was poorly marked, and I got great phone assistance and follow up. LOVE this app.

Jesus, stop with these annoying pop-ups offering one of the choices while I try to navigate through map. Literally the only reason I chose ParkWhiz over this app.
No refunds

First time using the app I booked a spot in a lot having an address which, in both Waze and google maps, doesn’t correspond to the street number marked on the building. I parked elsewhere and requested a refund later, which was rejected unless I sent a receipt for the other lot I used, why would I have saved that? This is convenience?
You’ll Can Get Towed with an Active Reservation

Yesterday, my wife and I parked our car using Spot Hero and came back to find that it was towed. After looking into all the details, I confirmed that our car was towed while we had an active Spot Hero reservation. Clearly, this is unacceptable. This app is promising to offer parking when you pay for it through the app. If their customer support team is able to make this right then I will update this review. Until then, I warn you – do not use this app if you want to park reliably and avoid getting towed.
No PayPal, can’t turn off notifications

The pros: seems to find more options than ParkWhiz Cons: can’t turn off the notification on my lock screen, can’t use PayPal, have to trust them with my card info. Using a promo code/referral code was way more difficult than it needs to be, in fact, I don’t even think it worked... overall, not a good experience, I’ll stick with ParkWhiz for most parking.
