Can’t save trips

Mikesd303

I can look up all my trips but I can nether save them nor add them to the list of upcoming trips. To check status or check in I need to re-enter the trip details every single time. There’s no reason to use the app rather than a browser.

Does not work

Ikpdoglover13

The new version puts me in a loop: update app -> new app loads -> update app. Too bad. Used to work OK.

I like Reliability....

I like SWA app because I find it to always be easy and reliable! Just as I find there flights I have been on to be mostly on time, comfortable, and relaxing. Those three items, on-time, comfort, and relaxation are important to me when flying over two (2) hours to my destinations. I also enjoy the proficiency of the flight crews including the cabin attendants. Once in a while, I may spot an attendant that will slack off rather than see to the needs of their passengers, but it is usually far and few in between. SWA is my family’s choice of flight travel for short or across-Country air travel. PE Nicholson

Locked out

Sardoaroma

It’s so frustrating. The correct password doesn’t work and I tried another one and I’m locked out after one try. Ridiculous and frustrating. Same on the website. Come on...

Doesn’t save flight info

stevenlma

Pretty useless app. I created an account. My wife had purchased our tickets. So I added the confirmation number to the app. It looks up your flight info, but trident save it to your account in the app. So when I open the app, there is nothing under upcoming trips. To check the status of my flight or look at my boarding info, I have to enter my confirmation number and name every single time. So... what’s the purpose of this app?

Totally useless

Krues8dr

There's no point in downloading this app. There's no boarding pass for passbook - you still have to print your ticket. Even if you login you can't checkin automatically, you have to look up your confirmation number. Really, there's nothing useful here at all, just use the web site.

Where did the Logo go?

One Peach

After a recent update, the Southwest Logo was suddenly no longer appearing on the app. I tried reloading the app but the Logo is still not appearing. What is going on with this?

They are improving

Honestly, this app is way better than a year or two ago when I uninstalled it due to frustration. It’s pretty good now. My only complaint is that you can’t buy tickets using unspent funds with it.

Accept ApplePay for InFlight Texting & WiFi

Daddy.Jones1

I ❤️ Southwest Airlines - mostly for the Passenger-Friendly Policies like Free Bags & Not Charging for Changes. Those 2 reasons alone make me a loyal to SW. The app is Very Useful, and straightforward as I would expect also. MUCH Better than any other Airline. I do have ONE Gripe though. Having to enter my Credit Card Info to buy InFlight WiFi or Texting in this age of ApplePay is SO Un-SouthWest-Like. ApplePay is all I use for online purchases bc of it’s Convenience & Security! Please Add ApplePay to your methods of accepted payments for In-Flight WiFi & Texting. That would be SOOO Nice & Southwest-like and I would gladly come back and raise my rating to 5 Stars!

UX suggestions to the devs

1. Users shouldn’t need to create an account to get their ticket and add it to passbook. After asking for a reservation number and a name, you already have their information and they have already paid for a ticket. Someone purchased me a ticket and I don't want to make an account. My preferred airline provider has this in their app. 2. Entering in your reservation information in the “check in” section even though you have already checked in should not return a “this reservation does not exist.” It should say you are already checked in and bring you to the next logical menu. This can scare people who aren't tech savvy. I later found the “Look up reservations” section in the flight dropdown in the three bar fly out. 3. The warning triangle at the top when there are weather advisories is a great idea, make it more noticeable so people use it. 4. The responsive collapsing three bar menu has sections that can expand and collapse. When expanding a section, there is a moment where the “hotel,” “car,” or “flight” icons appear before the section as fully expanded, so there are duplicate icons. This is a bug and can lead to unnecessary eye shifting. 5. Your home page is supposed to cater to users, not be a place advertisements. Be inviting to people who are potential, if not already customers. Jamming the credit card in their face isn’t inviting. Having large icons contain information your customers would consider on planing flights. Like have the weather of places that you are offering deals for. Or a package deal for cars and flights. 6. After cleaning it up, add tool tips Good job and I hope to see improvements.
