UX suggestions to the devs – Southwest Airlines Review

1. Users shouldn’t need to create an account to get their ticket and add it to passbook. After asking for a reservation number and a name, you already have their information and they have already paid for a ticket. Someone purchased me a ticket and I don't want to make an account. My preferred airline provider has this in their app. 2. Entering in your reservation information in the “check in” section even though you have already checked in should not return a “this reservation does not exist.” It should say you are already checked in and bring you to the next logical menu. This can scare people who aren't tech savvy. I later found the “Look up reservations” section in the flight dropdown in the three bar fly out. 3. The warning triangle at the top when there are weather advisories is a great idea, make it more noticeable so people use it. 4. The responsive collapsing three bar menu has sections that can expand and collapse. When expanding a section, there is a moment where the “hotel,” “car,” or “flight” icons appear before the section as fully expanded, so there are duplicate icons. This is a bug and can lead to unnecessary eye shifting. 5. Your home page is supposed to cater to users, not be a place advertisements. Be inviting to people who are potential, if not already customers. Jamming the credit card in their face isn’t inviting. Having large icons contain information your customers would consider on planing flights. Like have the weather of places that you are offering deals for. Or a package deal for cars and flights. 6. After cleaning it up, add tool tips Good job and I hope to see improvements.
