Love itt :] <3
Bought over $2000 worth of Sonos speakers a few years back. Really loved them and couldn’t ask for anything better. Recently they updated the app and like all the other real customers in the reviews our stuff are bricks now and useless. The renamed app is trash. You can’t connect. Sonos basically abandoned their customers. If they did it once they will do it again. If your still under warranty return your speakers while you can.

The SONOS app used to be good, I was forced to update to add new components to my system. The new SONOS S1 app, once loaded, forces me to update my ‘old’ 1yr, components. Then forced me to change over to SONOS S2 app. I follow instructions, and find in S2, that none of my components require S2, indicating I should go back to S1! I follow, head back to S1, and can only move forward to the pop up telling me to use S2! My entire system is now dead, thinking about returning everything by SONOS at this point! Round and round we go! -disappointed

While I would prefer that S1 and S2 were in one system (presumably there is a good reason for separating them), I’m happy that we still have a remote that works with our old, but perfectly working, sonos system. The original machines still do exactly what they need to and so I don’t see a need to upgrade them. Hopefully Sonos continues to support these machines which will show that they have created great products
disappointed in sonos
Don’t update to this if you have older Sonos speakers. You’ll no longer be able to play music directly from music stored in your phone. It forces your to use a streaming service or a server for you music. It will also play ads every time you start the radio. Stick with the old controller and ignore the update recommendations.

We have been using them for years and loved them. We rarely to never had any issues But for the past few months it has been one connection issue after another!

So, I am not alone experiencing Sonos earlier generation connection issues. I’ve enjoy Sonos for years and I certainly shouldn’t be forced to pay for an upgrade in hardware. I paid for a product that plays and to not have it work anymore bc software is now sub par to support it? Not right.
