Crashing Constantly

I love the programming on Slate which is why I became a Slate Plus member. However, the Slate app is constantly logging me off Slate Plus so I’m listening to commercials, and it’s constantly crashing or pausing in the middle of a podcast. I’m not quite sure what to do about any of this. The app is fully updated and still giving me problems. I know I don’t have this problem when I listen to Slate programs on the Apple podcast app. So….I may cancel my Slate Plus membership if they can’t get this fixed.

Slate is great but this app is buggy: a long period of login problems and now it’s not possible to view comments, a problem which apparently has Slate’s B-grade tech people completely flummoxed.

What happened to comments

First the app kept crashing. Then it wouldn’t acknowledge my plus membership unless I bought it again through apple. Now the app is finally working & giving me my plus content but there are no comments section anymore Why?

Slatw content is solid if a little gossipy, but unlike the previous reviewer I’m totally fine paying for the contact. I’m just surprised by how bad this app is. Recommend enlisting some real pros for a significant upgrade

The current bug du jour is that the articles in the app have no comments available. Oh yes there is the comments button. It’s just that if you select it the comments are unavailable. It’s been like this for months now so perhaps it’s like one of this snap-chat streaks where they just want to keep this malfunction going for as long as possible. In the meantime I’ll enjoy my articles about corporations that do not care about their customers… hint hint.

The quality of this app has gone downhill since I first started using it years ago. Comments won’t load, it won’t save your login so that you have to login to read each article, and it crashes a lot.

Needs more integration

Please make it so clicking on a push notification for a specific article takes you directly to the story and not just on a hunting expedition for it.

This used to be a great app. But half the fun was going to the comments. Doesn’t work anymore so considering just deleting since I have to go read on the web anyway.

I love reading the articles on Slate and part of the fun is reading the comments and discussions that the article generates. But recently the app “broke” and the reader comments on the articles are no longer available on the app. I emailed about it and was told to use the web version of the software. That doesn’t fix the app which no longer works like it did for years. Adding that it has been months and they still haven’t bothered to fix the app so you can see the comment sections. It’s awful.
