Terrible company be cautious

moores351

I spent approximately $100 for the first version of this app. They’ve disabled the functionality of this app and told me it’s broken and no longer works but I can download their new version and pay a monthly service so I can get back what I already paid for. No thank you not the type of company I’ll be doing any future business with. No customer loyalty.

Watch your billing, folks!

Not quite your average Joe

As they have updated their app, they’ve changed names and logos throughout time. The only problem is I discovered they have been charging me yearly under all 3 iterations.

Easily the worst automation control on iOS

therealJesse

I’m done about 10 professional home automation installs and dealing with this company is by far the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced. As someone who use this when it was still “roomie remote”, I had to rebuy the application that I already paid for at least once. Expect to do it again when they change formats. Got anything not overly nice to say? Don’t say it on Twitter or the owner will immediately block you. No refund nothing. Horrible service, serviceable product who’s about to get its lunch eaten by HomeKit and google home. Only an idiot would buy this now.

The worst! BEWARE!

I used the previous app for many years, and it was great! This new app is ugly, unresponsive, and full of bugs. My AppleTV now randomly turns on the TV. Technical support is worthless. I’ve spent days reprogramming the new app to be even close to workable, and it’s still a mess. No one in my family can figure out this new app, so now there’re furious with me. And, the worst? I had paid for a full year of service for the old app. The developers refused to transfer the purchase. Apple had to step in and grant a special refund. Run from these people...

The best. Hands down!

It’s all in the name. The simplest, best controller for you entertainment system and complete home their is. Definitely worth the investment and subscription. Great fast support and updates that are filled with new features and constant fixes to make it better and better. Don’t hesitate. Get this.

Gone down hill big time!

This app used to be awesome and at it worst pretty darn good. Now it’s over priced and as user friendly as windows 8. This app used to make a great coffee table iPad remote. Now there is so much wasted space, and simple tasks take 2 or 3 taps, that used to just take one.

Great upgrade from a custom remote

I installed a home theater in 2008. It was controlled by a custom Philips Pronto based system. Philips left the market I was left with an orphaned system. I bought 3 blasters and replaced the old controller. Some equipment needed ir, one component serial and another needed a relay. Simple control recognized everything in my system despite some of the gear being quite old. It even upgraded one component from ir to ip control. The simple control requires some technical skills to install but it’s not too bad. The app itself is pretty good but it does have some bugs here and there. A few places I set defaults for a device and saved and the settings disappeared. Overall,I’m happy with the new remote. I talked with the company that originally installed the home theater and they wanted to use control4. I didn’t want to use a closed custom solution. Simple control seems to be the best for do it yourselfers.

Garbage

Kaman23

Do not waste your money on this garbage. I have used their app to control my entire home for 7 years. They destroyed what used to be a great control system and replaced it with a worthless piece of garbage .Stay away from this garbage. The turned the best and easy control system into a nothing but a piece of garbage.

Great, but...

Epheumsirc

Really love the potential. It mostly works and is very powerful. But it isn’t consistent between the iPhone and iPad. Also doesn’t stay in or do what the configuration says it’s supposed to. Awesome replacement for my old iRule remote though. Hope they keep fixing things.

Not Simple. Expensive.

Used the old Roomie and Simple Control on my other devices, but thought I’d try this new version on my new iPad. It’s not intuitive, and keeps insisting I subscribe to monthly payments to do what their old apps did for free. Most of the manual settings are gone, and this app is now completely useless without paying money every month.
