What is this?

This app is about as bad as it gets. It is absolutely nothing like Roomie Remote and the simplest of things are incredibly difficult to figure out and all videos on how to set it up are outdated. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!!

Was “Horrible Update”
MacIntyre

Update: We’ve gotten used to the new interface (in fact my wife now prefers it) and since they’ve added the ability to now edit it - it’s better. I would prefer the ability to customize more, but honestly, that’s not that big a deal. Still doesn’t work in my home office as my TV and the remote (and Denon) all get out of sync, but I suspect that’s more my fault (and Samsung’s). However, I did want to comment on support. I had an issue with renewal of my subscription that was preventing the app from supporting our house any more. I submitted a support ticket. I had a response and the issue was fixed inside of 5 minutes. That earned a solid change in ratings from me. OLD REVIEW: It either turns off my Samsung TV when I just want to switch inputs, or won’t turn it on at all. It doesn’t appear to respect the track power state setting for a device (2017 Samsung Q7 QLED). This worked under version 4.x. My wife had a pop up activity with her favorite channels, that now doesn’t work the same, she basically has to use a favorite guide, which is a lot slower. New interface has a lot of buttons we’re not ever going to use and the activity panel editor is not available yet. This new interface has done nothing but confuse my wife, I’m going to have to roll back to version 4.

Latest releases crashes continuously
AV1080

Can barely get through anything in the app before it crashes on iPhone X running iOS 12.

The worst upgrade of all time

This new app is garbage at best. The visual is a 180 from the odd one and the ease of use is a zero. Hate it.

This app when it was formerly Roomie Remote was very good and forward thinking. The money grab with paying for hubs and subscriptions, disabling Dropbox support and confusing app upgrades (software upgrade 5) has left me to abandon the platform. Disdain and badmouthing of customers from CEO were final straw. Would not recommend.

Beware

This app is ok if you don't mind having to work through allot of issues to get it to work. Very confusing and don’t expect allot of help from the support people. Really look close at their documentation to see if it makes since. Keep in mind this is not for the average person with an average understanding. Don't get me wrong once and if you can get it to work it could be a great program. I did start out with the original Roomie program, I feel this version could be better once the bugs are worked out. They need a video tutorial with step by step instructions. Along with simple written instructions. Read, Read and read again to make sure you understand how this program is set up and works. The last issue is family sharing this in its self is a joke. All you need to do is read the instructions on how it works, however for more money you purchase a simpler version.

Long time user. Some functionality has changed so new app takes some getting used to, but probably the most comprehensive app for the cost. A few things I would like to work differently and hope to see those in upcoming releases but otherwise I believe this app has the greatest functionality and integration you will find for the cost

Stands Alone
CA-Techie

This app is the Hotness. I have purchased many iOS devices specifically to run this app through the house using iPad Minis on side tables or wall mounted. It can be daunting how much time is spent building a whole home system that is broadly automated, but it's quite rewarding and this app is so much more straightforward than other systems.

App should be named mess not simple
monochrome1

This app is anything but simple, the UI is a train wreck, and it just doesn’t do anything well enough to warrant using it, can’t use it to power on/off some devices, so what’s the point if I need my factory remote still?

A downgrade from the pre v5 version
Bcdavis75

I have really tried to give the redone app a chance, but for a second time I got a throw in the towel. Personally I find just about everything in this app far less intuitive Then the prior version. This is extremely disappointing given how useful the app has been over the years. I’ll keep trying but I expect to keep being frustrated
