Great, but lacking one feature

I have zero complaints about the app itself, as it works great. Even the calls sound great! I just wish you could password protect it, and use TouchID to unlock it, the way Wire does. If we got that feature, Signal would be literally perfect.

For some reason i am not receiving messages from other signal users so for me it is now complete garbage. It worked for my android though.

I appreciate the focus on privacy, but this application is not usable for most people. Signal intentionally prevents conversations from being backed up (even to iTunes). This means switching to a new device is like starting afresh for all conversations with no history. This is not the world I want to live in. Until this bug (yeah, it’s not a feature) is fixed, I won’t be using Signal.

I feel like I can trust this app’s privacy. It’s could use some usability improvements for sure but the snarky update descriptions make me want to give it 5 stars anyways. 5 stars for the developers. I’m a fan.

Updating database - 1.5hrs

I don't understand. Logged in this evening and have a "blue screen" (of death?) that says "Updating database this could take a few minutes" - 1.5hrs later...same screen

Can we have a feature that enables us to delete messages that we sent but then regret? There is at least one other privacy-oriented app that implemented this feature some months ago
