Great but iOS needs a few things

I love this app, especially in this day and age, but coming from an android to an iPhone, there are a few things I really hate. If I’m on the phone, I can’t open and look at texts - why? This is the only messaging system I’ve seen that does that. Also my custom ringtones never stick no matter how many times I add them. Another thing, when I want to send a picture, I would love to attach a message to it instead of sending a separate text. One final thing, if someone texts you multiple times, instead of a new notification for every message, why not condense them into one?

So many issues.

App was being buggy so I deleted and re-downloaded and can no longer send messages via mobile, only on desktop. I can still read incoming messages which is so frustrating. I’ve wasted so much time trying to fix this and have gotten no help from the developers.

Missing incoming messages

This app LOSES incoming messages (Google this issue before installing). As a minimum, a messaging app should reliably send and receive messages.

Privacy versus anonymity

Signal is great for privacy of communications. If you want anonymity use a burner phone.

When someone calls it sounds great but when I call someone the ringing is grating. Please change the ringing sound on outbound calls. Love the app!

I trust this waymore than other messaging apps and i really hope it stays this way. Its easy to get friends using... altho we def miss the random codewords. I wish those stayed even if theyre not functional... they were fun haha Call quality is excellent. Better than regular phone, better than the crapy voip my company uses, waybetter than telegram, and way more trustworthy than skype/whatsApp. The only nuance id like to see improved - horizontal typing?! As in - flipping the screen sideways to type like the old Sidekick phones. iPhone seems to struggle w glitches on this but i much prefer it. iMessage & telegram & wApp allow this. Thanks whisper Signal team!!
